Charitable deeds, let's crowd-fund for kids in Bangladesh, fruits and snacks every week, nr. 41

All proceeds from this post will go to @SchoolForSDG4, created by @Azizbd, to help host a weekly fruit program and/or provide educational materials for the kids. It has been another week. And thiings have happened. Of course they have! Life never stays in one place.

It has been 7 days since my last post and we are back at Fruit program. You might remember that last week the kids got whole meals. Well, that is something that is organized once a month. The Fruit program, however, takes place every week(except the week when lunch is served). It is much more affordable to organize a fruit program. A cook is not needed. There is only one ingredient and, most of the times, ten times smaller expenses. Fruits are also a great alternative to the more pricey lunch program as they have so much nutritionist vitamins in them that the kids get big enough immunity boost to stay healthy. Nonetheless, one day, our charity project hopes to feed the kids that attend the school that @Azizbd runs.

P.S. This week the chosen fruit was Multa which I think is the regular orange.

They look like bosses and badasses!

And they are! They are getting through life with their heads held high. They are the kids that, hopefully, will prevail. The humans that can lift themselves up and overcome the stigma. The stigma of never getting out. I believe in those kids. I think they are starting to believe as well. One day we will all look back and be able to say: we helped them get there. Their achievements are their own but we eased the way. Destroyed the unnecessary obstacles.

This week the Holy Ramadan starts. That means that some of the children in the class will fast for a month. From what I have seen before and the people that I have met in my life practicing Islam, Ramadan for Muslims does not bean starving themselves. It is just limiting the foods they can eat. and the time when they have a meal. Let me know about your experiences! If you are Muslim, do you eat at night during Ramadan? If your friends practice Islam, what are their views on the coming month? I find this tradition quite fascinating.

Feel free to check out the work that @Azizbd does. Right now he is going through some family complications and I think he deserves for us to be there. For him. He is an amazing person that does a lot for others and is a true friend for me. I think some moral support would go a long way. That is also why he might not be posting as often lately.

I know that I am sending all my love to Mohammed and his family. He is a dear friend and a great human being!
