How about a throwback? And the reason I keep buying and Powering Up.
Roughly three days left for this year to come to an end. And what an amazing year that was...I am telling you. The bear may have been awake since the beginning of the year and we are in an endless downtrend that dragged the prices to the bottom, but that is only the one side of the coin. Or maybe we are not there yet?
And while many were caught in January's hype and invested while prices were at their peak, I think that overall it was a great year for those who were patient enough, but also for those who entered the crypto game kinda late, to accumulate as much as they can afford. Because even if we haven't reached the bottom yet, I have a feeling that we are close...
My perspective is that January's prices were unsustainable. And what goes rapidly up will at some point go back down. In this case prices didn't exactly go rapidly down but more likely, slowly and painfully. Like a drama. But they did. It is a universal law and crypto currencies aren't an exception to that.
And don't be mistaken. Because when the new bull run starts -which it will- and prices start skyrocketing again...keep in mind that they won't go up forever...keep in mind that universal law and be smart...
Let's be honest here. You think that the average person with the average salary would had ever been able to possess a full BTC during January? Not even close...While now the probability is way higher. The reason I am talking about the average person? Isn't that what decentralization is all about? Mass adoption...cut the middle men...Well, the average person is the largest group of these masses.
As for the reason I mention BTC? I think that is obvious. BTC is, was and will be the king on the throne, and until the day that powerful projects like STEEM or EOS etc will be completely detached from BTC's shadow, or another currency will manage to dethrone it, BTC will determine whether alts will show profits or loses in daily basis. Of course there are always going to be exceptions but this is the main rule.
That being said and since I've become a STEEM addict, probably for a hundred reasons we are all aware of by now, I keep buying Steem tokens regularly lately. You can call me crazy but I have faith in the potential of Steem blockchain and also in what we can achieve as a community to push Steem forward.
Plus, Steem at 0.25$ is a steal. And the truth is that even if Steem never receives the recognition it deserves and even burn down to the ground, I will still be OK knowing that I was part of a great journey. But if it doesn't....oh boy...just think about that...
Besides, the most valuable lesson someone can learn here is to be patient. Sounds cliche but it is 100% accurate. And since I am here for the long haul like many others too, I am allowed to dream big...right?
