Not all that glitters is gold

It took me a while to come to the realisation that not all is as helpful and as innocent as it seems online. I have been trying to earn a second income online for 3 years now and I have been chasing everything that glitters. These are called shiny objects and I have bought many of them, regrettably so.
Where It all began
Source I should have known that nothing in life, whether online or offline is that easy.
How I financed it all
When I started working I spend around 250 dollars almost every single month investing in the financial markets. I came across very appealing and trusted brokers who offered trading in my country. All of them were international, mostly being from the United Kingdom and most of them were licensed and regulated. Because of that fact I had no trouble investing in those brokers. They were good brokers and they had paid out all of my requested money.
The reputation and regulation of these Brokers was not the issue. The problem was most of them made trading seem so easy as if anyone that can use a computer can trade. This is where I and many other people at that time went wrong and lost a lot of money.

As with everything in life it is extremely important to do thorough research before taking part in anything. I did not exercise due diligence at that time and as a result I suffered immensely. Can you imagine how much money I lost spending 250 dollars almost single month for a year? 250 dollars might not seem like a lot to many but here in South Africa it is easily someone salary that is working for minimum wage. It is not to be looked down at.
Ignorance is not bliss
After I saw the mistakes I was making with trading I realised that much time and effort was needed to be a successful trader. Many books, webinars and seminars were needed to develop the knowledge base to be a good trader. Even then success was not guaranteed as trading is such a risky investment. It would have been better to trade under a mentor. I had that option but unfortunately I did not have the finances to take that option and so my trading days then came to an end.
Unfortunately my ignorant days had only just began. After I moved on from trading I tried my hand in the pool of affiliate marketing. There was an overwhelming number of books and articles teaching affiliate marketing. Too much information is as redundant as too little information. Information overload is a phenomenon that we experience today with unlimited resources and knowledge at our fingertips made possible by the access of the internet. During the months that followed I spent a whole lot more money learning affiliate marketing.
My experience was not at all what I had expected. I have bought books and paid for online webinars to try a learn affiliate marketing. At that time I needed capital and it camel out of pocket to start being an affiliate, a successful affiliate. You can imagine that being new to the scene of making money online one would follow every instruction that is thought to be of assistance in attaining one’s goal.
I learnt the theory and the supposed practicality of it all but when it came time to implement everything, the results were not as promised. After months of trying it became evident that that was not going to pan out the way I had hoped. This was another failed venture on my part.
Conclusion
For the better part of the fourth term last year, 2017, I stayed clear from trying to make money online as there was too much being said by too many people and it was a confusing time to try and discern which is profitable and which is wasteful. And so I took a breather away from it all. Just a month ago I decided that it was time to get back into it; it was time to get back on the horse because I believed that making money online was possible. I just had to find a way to make it possible for myself.
It is important that when trying to make money online you perform your due diligence and once convinced about a certain program is the one for you, make sure to stick with it until the very end. What is leading to a 99 percent fail in the online money making industry is that people tend to do too much at once. They start too many programs at the same time and end up not doing enough to make each program a success. You might find that they found very powerful programs that should work but because they have spread themselves too thin amongst many of them they end of failing at all of them.
Master only one skill and be efficient in it rather than being the Jack of all trades and mastering none.

I can relate I did the same thing with affiliate marketing for many years. I think the best thing is to have a mentor or create your own course based on market research. Then find different ways of marketing your course.
