CEBU KIDS LIFE FOUNDATION - A day to remember with volunteers all over the world.

Everyone's dreaming a better place for everyone specially for kids. Children are blessing to the community specially to a family but some of them aren't blessed to have families who could take good care of them and treat them to a nice restaurant and make them try different fun activities somewhere else. In the Philippines it's one of the troubling things that the government is facing on how to overcome and improve these less fortunate families and lonely street children.

My friends, volunteers and I have decided to organize an event which could let some street children try the famous sculpt painting in one of the shopping malls in Cebu. We are just very fortunate to receive a lot of help from different nationalities and friends staying in Cebu specially from our good friends from Cebu Language Exchange community. We were able to help almost twenty children try this super fun activity. Along the activity, we were able to know these children better. Some of them still have parents and some don't and been staying in the streets for a long time. Hearing their lives deeper really moved me. No one ever deserves to have this kind of life, it's just that there are some irresponsible parents out there.

It really gives a different feeling knowing that you are able to help and make their lives at least once in awhile memorable. Everyone seems enjoying this activity including the volunteers. In this event, we paired the volunteers with these children so that they could get to know each other more. We also held a contest wherein whoever has the nicest work could win a prize.

I would like to extend our gratitude to our lovely Japanese volunteers who were very accommodating to these kids and spared their precious time, effort and money. You truly changed the lives of these children. Even myself never tried this activity when I was little knowing that I have a family who could afford to try this, how much more these less fortunate kids? I couldn't imagine how happy could I be If I were in their position with the same as them. I am just very happy that I was able to make them happy and made myself try this and went back to my childhood.

I am hoping that we will cross our paths again soonest. Hope to see these kids helping other street children when they grow up. A never ending gratitude to the people who ever made this event very successful. You guys truly changed their lives. Giving them moments to look back when they grow old and become successful individuals. Kudos to everyone!
