Just like any love stories, it starts by seeing that one girl which makes you stop breathing. Everything around you slows down and you only see her moving in the crowd. You watch her glide in between people and love everything about her. How she walks, talks, and smiles. The only hope or wish you have is that someday you will a chance to talk to her and find out more about the person behind that beautiful smile. Some would say it must be love at first sight. It sure felt like it. All day and all night I could only thing about her. There was no going back now. Even my friends told me I should take a chance and just say hi next time I see her gliding between the crowd.

Getting To Know Her

About two weeks have passed and all I hear is people talking about how beautiful she is, but only words which made me take eyes of her were "SHE IS SINGLE." My attention got directed to the person who said it. I asked him how do you know this? He said I know this because she goes to the same class as me. We are actually pretty good friends. I thought to myself this guy just became my best friend. He can introduce me to her. And, he did. You know how you picture in your head what you are going to say the first time you meet a beautiful girl? I am usually good at this. But, not this time.

The first time he introduced me to her I forgot about everything. All the practice to know what to say when I met her was like somebody just fried my hard drive. I had a hard time speaking actually. I only smiled a lot. When in doubt, just smile a lot. And, hope you have a beautiful smile. lol For the next few weeks I got to know her as a person. And, I can tell you one thing for sure? She was not just a pretty smile. She was smart, kind, and funny. Generous as well. I was falling her more and more each time I spent time with her. That is why I decided I just have to ask her out on a date. I can not let this beautiful girl slip through my hands, right? I have to take a CHANCE. :)

My friends would actually laugh so hard everytime they would see me around her. I am usually a talkative guy who knows what to say almost all the time. They laughed at me because when I was around her I would freeze, ending up just staring at her like a weirdo. But, somehow that would always make her laugh. I think somehow she knew what was coming. So I just went for it. I just blurted out, hey I really like you, would you like to go on a date? In my head, I thought, you idiot. Could you not come up with something better than that? What an idiot. This is a girl of your dreams in front of you and all you have to say is "I like you," Add some compliments, you speechless idiot. lol 🤣

She said YES

But, before I was about to say you are beatif... she said YES. lol Wtf right? There was something about me that she liked and I had no idea what? Maybe because I was honest? lol It must have been the smile because that is what I did most of the time I was with her. lol Or maybe this is a prank? Some of her friends have the challenge to go out with your "stalker" or something? Wait, that is just weird? Why would anyone want to go out with his stalker? Then suddenly voice speaks in my head, Hey idiot? She agreed to go out with you, and who cares WHY? You get a chance to go out with the most beautiful girl in your world.

He was right. That one day turned into more dates, and the first 2 months of us going out was amazing. We had a lot in common. We knew how to make each other laugh and we spent many nights together just talking until the sun came up. I could not get enough of her smile, and personality. The more I knew about her, the more I fell for everything about her. She was truly generous and kind. I even liked her friends. She introduced me to a lot of her friends. Some of them where from all around the world. Things could really not get any better. I was close to saying the L word for the first time in my life. Even though I knew her for a short time. And that is a HUGE deal. But, suddenly it all changed.

Trouble In Paradise

It is like she became a different person. Her mood change. She was rarely smiling anymore. Whatever I tried to do did not turn out good because she was getting mad at all the time for no reason. She started being late to our meetings. And, rarely responding to my messages. Whatever I tried to do her responses were slow, and without effort really. She would always give me a lame excuse for not being there or not doing something she promised to do. I am not kidding as I say this, she was a completely different person. If she was computer it seems like she caught a virus and stopped being the most beautiful girl I knew from before. Maybe it was my fault I don't know, but she closed up on me. The end was inevitable and we had to go our separate ways. So we met for the last time, and agree things are not working out. We stayed friends.

I was little heartbroken as I really thought she was the one. The one I was meant to spend my life with. But, unfortunately, I was wrong. Nothing to do, but to move on right? So that is what I did. I tried dating again, but somehow none of them worked because they were not HER. All I thought about when I was with others was HER. Every other girl out there I compared to her. And, none of them came even close to HER. I would see her again from time to time gliding through the crowd again, but it was not the same. I even saw a couple of posts about her on the facebook page I was a member of. I still had feelings for her and wondered if we got a second chance if we could off maybe made it work this time? I had a glimmer of hope in my heart. Sometimes hope is all we have and all we need right?

The Late Night Message

Many people say life works in mysterious ways. And, sometimes things you silently say in your head and from the heart conspire with the universe to make it real. Maybe some people are just meant to meet and stay together no matter what?Do you guys believe in faith? Because I do and let me tell you why? A few weeks later I commented on one of those posts on the facebook page where they talked about her. Later, that day, I got a message from her:

• Her: Hey you, how are you?

• Me: I am great(not really, I missed her and her smile.) How are you?

• Her: Glad to hear that. I am great as well. Hey, can you meet me for coffee tomorrow I really want to talk to you?

• Me: (I really did not know what to answer back. My heart started racing and answered her for me.) Sure, I would like that.

I agreed to meet her for coffee even though everything told me not to. It did not make sense. Why did I do it? I guess it is true love does not make sense sometimes right? That is the only way I can explain it. So I met for coffee. And, she was again the same beautiful girl I fell for the first time. OMG, that beautiful smile can truly bring "light" into a dark room. A voice inside me kept saying you IDIOT again. Don't fall for this again. Don't fall for that beautiful smile again. But, it was already too late, I just could not help myself, she was so beautiful and I could not take my eyes off her again. We spent hours talking, laughing, remembering the good and bad times actually. She had me AGAIN. I ignored the voice saying in I am an IDIOT. She apologized how she acted the last time around, blamed it on the "virus" inside her head. And, then she asked me if maybe want to try this again?

Taking Another Chance

My heart took over again, and all I could say is YES. Just like our relationship started with a YES, it also began with a YES yet again. Only this times I was saying YES. Maybe it is faith? Maybe it is universe conspiring AGAIN? I really did not care. I was willing to take the chance again. What can I say I am second chances type of a guy. And, who can really resist her beautiful smile? I could not and I am sure many others would not say no as well. Isn't life all about taking a CHANCES after all?

And, I took a chance on her, and these next 3 months of my life have been the happiest three months of my life. She is back to a girl I knew, and a girl I first saw gliding between the crowd, slowing down the time with her smile. She installed an "anti-virus programme" and she is back to a girl I know. Sometimes she still has her downtimes, but she is not closing down this time. She is talking to me and we are sorting it out. I met some more of her international friends. And, they are absolutely great. Makes our journey together better even more. The more I get to know her, the more I am falling in love, my little voice in my head hates to say it, but maybe she is the ONE. 💓💓

This is basically my love letter to Steemit. I truly believe in and love this platform. Sure it still has a lot of things and "viruses" to work on, but it has amazing potential. I truly believe so. And, maybe I did not say in my misleading story, but I am going to say it now. I am in love with HER-STEEMIT. And, if you are as well maybe you should write your Steemit love story? 💓💓
