STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE - thebitgoldmine.net - IT'S A FRAUD!
There's quite a few marketing campaigns circling around the web about this mining site which promises a handsome return on your investment. There are even posts on Steemit by Steemians endorsing the site. But BEWARE since this site is a fraud!
How do I know?
I was skeptical and curious and wanted to prove that its a hoax so I signed up. As soon as I opened my account, my share of the BTC mining pools starts to trickle in every 3 seconds into my account. This is a first sign of a hoax - who in his right mind would start giving you free bitcoin for just opening an account? Next, the site will invite you to upgrade to earn more bitcoin with a payback period between 3.5 to 2.5 days - the second sign of hoax as this is unsustainable and could only work under a pyramid scheme. Nevertheless, I invested a very small amount of bitcoin. My mining share then increased as promised! Tried to withdraw some profits but the site sets a minimum withdrawal limit of 0.004 BTC! This is the third sign of a hoax.
The following morning - surprise! It won't let me access my account anymore.
Lessons Learned
1.) Stay away from sites that offer free or unrealistic promises.
2.) There are various signs of a hoax. Open your eyes to details and be skeptical all the time.
3.) When you see one, don't even think twice about considering investing. It's not worth your time!
I hope this site finds no more victims.
Be careful out there. These are exciting times and unfortunately, there are unscrupulous scammers who deceive, dupe and trick vulnerable and hard working individuals.
