A well-known investor supported Bitcoin
The price of Bitcoin began to grow sharply after a well-known person invested several millions in the cryptocurrency.
In 2018, Bitcoin’s price suddenly rose to $15,000. It happened after the appearance in the list of investors in the cryptocurrency a famous entrepreneur.
According to the Daily Mail, referring to the report of the Wall Street Journal, in early 2018 the company "Tail" acquired almost $15-20 million dollars in Bitcoin. The head of this company is billionaire Peter Till, who is also one of the Facebook investors and co-founder of the PayPal payment system.
The British website reports that after the information on this investment appeared in mass media the rate of Bitcoin began to grow rapidly.
However, most investors who have doubts about the cybersecurity and liquidity of this coin have refrained from buying it after the rise began.
Earlier it was reported that Till, whose assets are estimated at $2.2 billion, told about “undervaluing" of Bitcoin in October, 2017. He said that the coin has great potential and possibility to become digital equivalent of gold.
