South Korea finished Bitcoin
The price of the world's most popular cryptocurrency fell by almost 30% in ten days. After the recent rise to $16,000 Bitcoin continued to fall. On Thursday 28 it costed less than $14,000.
In particular, overnight its rate fell by 9% to $13,828. Now Bitcoin is cheaper by 28% than on December 18, when the coin reached a new record - $19,511.
The media notes that the last blow to the cryptocurrency was inflicted by South Korea, whose government said it was "considering options for suppressing the madness of speculation, including the potential termination of at least some operations on the cryptocurrency exchanges."
According to analysts, Bitcoin’s price can fall to zero, in case it will not be used as a payment facility. The coin desperately needs new variants of usage, where it will get more opportunities than simply being a speculative asset.
