GERMAN BEER OF THE DAY ON TOUR #15 - Paulaner Münchner Hell at Wirtshaus in der Au in Munich
Hello Steemit,
today my colleagues and I were allowed to participate in a teambuilding event. Since it was very hot in the city, we were glad that it was an indoor event, and they also served beer for free there.
The event took place in famous "Wirtshaus in der Au" in the center of Munich.
The restaurant is only 100 meters from the river Isar, where today many Munichers were sunbathing and refreshing.
The "Wirtshaus in der Au" was build in 1901 and was part of a larger building complex containing a brewery and the restaurant. During world war 2 the brewery was destroyed, only the restaurant was rebuilt.
The restaurant is famous for their dumplings. My employer had donated a dumpling cookery course, which took place on the first floor of the restaurant.
When we arrived, a few appetizers were served.
I explored the hall, which was very nicely decorated.
On one side of the room was a very nice and well equipped bar.
We learned to cook 5 different types of dumplings, which we then eat for lunch. The first course was a bacon dumpling soup.
The main dish were 3 dumplings. Cheese dumplings, spinach dumplings and tomato dumplings.
As a dessert, there were pudding dumplings on raspberry ragout.
And of course they served beer. I enjoyed a fresh Paulaner Münchner Hell.
Cheers!

This sound like my type of team building - free beers!! How do they keep all those whine glasses from breaking on the bar counter?
I have no glue how the static works for the wine glasses :-)
