GERMAN BEER OF THE DAY ON TOUR #14 - Paulaner Hell in the Munich Olympic Stadium at Concert of Guns N Roses "Not in this lifetime" tour
Hello Steemit,
yesterday I enjoyed the Guns N' Roses concert of the current Not in this Lifetime tour in Munich's Olympic Stadium. I'm a big fan of the Gunners since Spring 1992, when I heard the yellow and blue Use Your Illusion Albums on Vinyl 4 times a day while programming some tests for Germanys Federal Competition in Computer Science for pupils.
As teenager I was a little bit to young to visit their "Use your Illusion" world tour in 1992, and never thought to be able to see Axl and Slash together on stage. Now, 25 years later, it was probably the last chance to see the both superstars together on stage.
I paid nearly 150 Euro for my ticket. If I remember right, I paid around 50 DM (50 German Mark = around 25 Euro) in 1994 for my first big concert ticket for visiting Aerosmith's "Get a Grip" tour in Germany. What an inflation, insane!
The Munich Olympic Stadium is located in the Olympic Park. In the background you see the television tower and the BMW headquarter. Due to the last terror attacs on concerts there were some additional security controls, but I only needed 10 minutes to enter the concert arena.
One of my favourite songs of Guns N' Roses is Estranged. The official video was filmed in Munich Olympic stadium during their Use Your Illusion world tour. I got goose bumps as the song was played live in the same location again.
I left my seat while the second support band was playing, and order 2 addition "glasses" of Paulaner Hell beer. I assume that the beer was a light beer with less alcohol, but it was ok.
Guns N' Roses played for nearly 3 hours without an break and they played all of their hits. Find below some more photos of a magic night.
Oje, so weit weg.
Cool unpvoted und resteemed :-) Hab ich auch sehr viel gehört :-)
Ich habe das glaube ich zu oft gehört, und jetzt Hörprobleme :-)
nice to see all pics thats owsome man gud
Thank you very much @shanzaylizay
Danke - Resteemed
Musik ist halt Geschmackssache. Siehe unsere Diskussion neulich Dire Straits vs ZZ Top :-)
Das ist wiederum korrekt
Gold Ochsen please!!! from ULM :D
& Paulaner Dunkel.
Gold Ochsen, sounds good.
i was wondering why do german teens like heineken?
i was in a bar, i saw a lot of them drinking heineken...
Maybe because it was one of the beers the bar sold there?
paulaner, hb are also available..
I dont like Paulaner. Only buy it, if there is no alternative.
really? but it's a german beer.. i like its taste. especially Weizen one.
I prefer Pilsner, and Paulaner does not brew a good Pilsner, that's why I have some prejudices against such breweries like Paulaner. But off course, a lot of people like their beers.
Back to the Heinecken case. Maybe Heinecken is a cooler brand than Paulaner.
Excellent work dear friend @beers, what beautiful memories, congratulations, thank you very much for sharing
you have a good day
This is super awesome. A historic place, some great beer (I love the Paulaner stuff) and also quite importantly a historic tour.
I envy you and I'm happy for you!
Cheers!
Yes, you only life once. Sometimes you have to spend some money to have some fun. At the end only the fun is important. Not the money.
Of course, you will not remember your bank statement 5 or 10 years from now, but you will surely remember that concert...

Thank you very much @shanzaylizay
