experiments in time
light the corners
of my eyes,

shifting coloured sands
mount the passage of my life

stupid colour combos
mark the limits of my skills

wasted time
in danger

always son of the cheap thrills

I don't know if I should ruin this by
talking about what I think I mean to say.
I was going with "DANGER Will Robinson DANGER"
but was pipped at the post.

I still haven't asked him (or google) what dbz is.

(and in a way that goes amazingly well
with what I came up with in the end too,
now I go back to get the link.)

plenty of synchronistic lols here

but the guts of it, for me,
is that every time we choose a direction in life,
we close off other possibilities,
and I for one have always been so conscious of the loss,
every time I have thrown my hat in with the new.
the danger of failing (almost a given often)
and the danger of losing thineself
in order to grow a new one

you have got to be dead set dissatisfied
with what you are and who you are being
to wanna do that more than once or twice in life.

I have done it

don't know if I evoke any of that sadness, as I tried not too
