Ripple (XRP) Logo Art Challenge Winners
A Ripple in Time and Crypto
Last week, we announced round 3 of our cryptocurrency art challenge! The results have been overwhelming and incredibly creative. Today we’re thrilled to share a some of our favorites and encourage you to explore the full list of artists, here.
Participants were tasked with interpreting the XRP logo through the lens of a famous artist (Picasso, Van Gogh, David Hockney, Michelangelo etc.) - or style (cubism, pointilism, bauhaus, deconstructivism, impressionism, etc.) Other components of the image (background, details, other elements) were completely up to their imagination.
Here are some of our favorite and most creative entries!
@soydandan's Russian Ripple Supreme
@soydandan created a new logo based off of "suprematism" - an art movement kickstarted by Russian artist Kazimir Malevich during the First World War. This movement focuses on basic geometric shapes painted on a limited color.

@aaronhong's Putting The "Bank" in Banksy
@aaronhong takes one of Banksy's early seminal works and gives it that crypto flair it always wanted. If you check the original, you can see how well integrated Aaron has made this composition.

@creativista
@creativista gives Ripple new composition and rhythm by whisking up a Kandinsky-inspired piece. We love how the logo isn't so explicit in this and inspires a whole cohesive piece.

@katalinaooma
@katalinaooma brings in the mastery of Alphonse Mucha of the Art Nouveau movement to turn the monochromatic logo into a vibrant and dynamic image. Absolutely beautiful!

@bombshell
And we've saved the most eccentric for last. @bombshell's entry brings in the eccentricity of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and applies her strange tentacle-like aesthetic to the logo, which in hindsight is 100% perfect for this type of geometry.

Honorable Mentions
- @heroldius has uncovered that crypto might have been a much older concept than we've ever considered. Check out the original post here.

- @wanaf brings in his 3D-modeling expertise to give the logo a futuristic flair. Check out the original post here.
- @timspeer brings in a dose of De Stijl aesthetics, creating a masterful composition within the logo's boundaries. Check out the original post here.

Thank you, @sndbox for choosing my entry! I do not know how to express my joy! Even tho' I was hesitating at first, later decided to take part in this challenge. Because each of the contests is unique, stimulates creative thinking, and each logo is driven by a different rendering approach.

Ripple is not a cryptocurrency tho :/
True. I was surprised to see a centralized protocol in these series of contests, but granted they have quite a cute, playful, spinner logo. Very torn about promoting it through art...
Its not even a blockchain.
surprising the work of this selection, colorful, beautiful and original, it must have been a hard work to choose a winner, that I am pleased to find so much talent in steemit, this community brings them to you; I congratulate them.
Amazing entries all of them. @aaronhong's entry was truly sublime.
From what I see here, these guys deserve a win. Congrats!
