Why do we love fairy tales? My watercolor artworks
Have you ever thought of this? Why are fairy tales still alive and relevant in our sometimes gray and fussy life?
I think they have a secret. Fairy tales keep in themselves the unique power that each child feels. This is faith in a bright future and miracles, faith in a good and kind beginning.
The older we get, the less light inside us. We stop noticing magic and beauty.
We are increasingly drowning in the routine of our lives. In pursuit of material goods and success, we slowly begin to go crazy with monotony, constantly experience stress and dream to escape to where fantasy is able to draw a different world than usual, where dreams become reality, and good will surely triumph over evil.
My watercolor works depicting fabulous girls, personifying the elements of fire and water - this is a reminder that to believe and love fairy tales with their amazing world and endless possibilities is not at all naive. This gives us back the strength and perseverance that is inherent in every fabulous hero to defeat enemies and overcome any difficulties.

Love the watercolors. And the idea - i think fairytales have something special too. I like this idea about it reminding us of that childilhood magic. I think fairytales continue to fascinate us because they appeal to some very basic desires of ours, you know, the prince, the life at the castle, all the goodnes. Maybe that makes sense 😅 anyway, keep painting and thinking! I'm glad to read you.

I believe in childish magic and the ability to think about something good. I used the example of my life to notice that if you think more about something good, about luck, for example, it really works. Maybe the key to a happy life is not outside, but inside of us?)

These are incredible! The use of colour just blows my mind! It just runs together without the slightest effort, they just go.... It builds a story, explodes on the canvas. Just WOW!

Once I read on the internet about how stories in some way, even if they are not applied in their entirety in our reality, are necessary because they make us hope that things can get better.

We need to be able to dream, escape reality and exercise our imaginations. Fairy Tales do all of the above, as does painting.
