African Wednesday: El Badi Palace, Marrakech
Constructed in the 16th century, El Badi Palace was one of the biggest and most glamorous palaces in the world, but was looted and destroyed shortly after. Today, the ruins bear witness of the giant dimensions of the palace.

It's so interesting to see African architectural gems!
Only yesterday I saw a fascinating documentary about the great civilizations and cities of Africa which were really prosperous in the Middle Ages up to 17th centrury, and we don't hear about them as much as we hear about civilisations on other continents...
It's a fascinating topic, I also had no idea before I travelled to Morocco!
I am yet to travel to Africa someday...
