Food for life | An application for nutritional screening support "Una solicitud de apoyo para el despistaje nutricional"

First of all, we would like to thank once again all the people who have supported us throughout the beginning of the project. Today we can say that the growth has been excellent and that it has helped us to develop various activities for the support of Venezuelan people and communities.

In this opportunity we want to make an appeal to the steem community and to all those who wish to collaborate to allow the nutritional screening in the different communities that will be treated over the next few months, all in favor of allowing people whose nutritional status is deplorable to acquire greater weight and subsist in the face of the humanitarian crisis that the country is experiencing.

Launch of the campaign:

We already have an approximate date for the launch of the campaign in @fundition. The campaign is scheduled for the end of this month, but it will require prior work with foundations and medical specialists, also some equipment for the work team.

Work team and nutritional team:

As you know, we will be working with several foundations in the central region of the country, which have already been mentioned in the following post:

Added to this we have included a team of specialists in the nutritional field, it is made up of more than 10 students of the last semester of this area at the Central University of Venezuela, one of the most prestigious houses of study in the country and continues to train young people even before the economic problems that also affect him.

These specialists will be accompanying us throughout this work and will serve as the means to make a more complete analysis to the communities where we can extract the most specific cases of severe and moderate malnutrition to be served by the program, allowing in turn the realization of a more real budget based on the nutritional requirements that these people must acquire.

Pre-requirements for nutritional screening:

Although we have the human resource to do the tests in the target populations, a series of requirements is necessary, the same in function of which the test can be carried out.

These requirements are conformed by:

Equipment

• Scales.
• Tape measures.
• Anthropometric Square.
• Spreadsheets.

Logistic:

• Lunch for the work team during the day.
• Transport

Currently the project does not have these resources and these people who volunteered do not have these resources either so we ask you to make a donation that serves to purchase them being available to the project for future nutritional activities.

Logistics (per day of screening):

• Lunch for the work team during the day. (4 days/1 day per community) = $5 a day = $20 Total
• Transportation for 15 people (4 days / 1 day per community) = $5 each day = $20 Total

Total expenditure:

Equipment: $58.31.
Logistics: $40 total.

NOTE: the products indicated as "equipment" will be obtained through Amazon, making use of Liberty Express as a Courier for shipment to Venezuela. The purchase of products is made by this way since the same ones are not available in Venezuela or of being the same ones are to a cost of the double or triple of the price that can be observed out of the country.

The logistical expense refers to the lunch and hydration of the medical nutritional team that will be working on the medical day during the 4 days in the 4 different communities as well as their transportation to the same, considering that they are far from each other and that these people are giving their free support for these days that can extend for hours.

Final Notes:

• The acquired products will be used in this and future activities, acting as a means to carry out medical examinations in other communities of the country.
• If you wish to make the purchase and donation of any of these products and send it to Venezuela please leave a comment in this post specifying the date of shipment and sending to us via email the invoice of the product: [email protected]
• The activity is expected to be carried out before the end of the month, it being understood that shipments to Venezuela take between 7 to 15 working days. Liberty Express is the safest shipping house we know so we fully trust in its capacity and attention.

Queremos primeramente volver a agradecer a todas las personas que nos han apoyado a lo largo del inicio del proyecto. Hoy podemos decir que el crecimiento ha sido excelente y que nos ha ayudado a desarrollar diversas actividades en pro al apoyo de personas y comunidades venezolanas.

En esta oportunidad queremos hacer un llamado a la comunidad de steem y a todo aquel que desee colaborar para permitir la realización del despistaje nutricional en las diversas comunidades que serán tratadas a lo largo de los próximos meses, todo en pro de permitir que personas cuyo estado nutricional es deplorable puedan adquirir mayor peso y subsistir ante la crisis humanitaria que vive el país.

Lanzamiento de la campaña:

Ya tenemos una fecha aproximada para el lanzamiento de la campaña en @fundition. La misma está prevista para finales del mes en curso, sin embargo para ello es necesaria la realización de un trabajo previo en conjunto con fundaciones y médicos especialistas.

Equipo de trabajo y equipo nutricional:

Como bien saben se estará trabajando con diversas fundaciones en la región central del país, las mismas ya han sido mencionadas previamente en el siguiente post:

Aunado a esto hemos incluido un equipo de especialistas en el ámbito nutricional, el mismo está conformado por más de 10 estudiantes del último semestre de esta área en la Universidad Central de Venezuela, una de las casas de estudio más prestigiosas del país y que sigue formando jóvenes aun ante las problemáticas económicas que también le afectan.

Dichos especialistas nos estarán acompañando durante lo largo de esta labor y servirán como el medio para realizar un análisis más completo a las comunidades en donde podamos extraer los casos más específicos de desnutrición severa y moderada a ser atendidos por el programa, permitiendo a su vez la realización de un presupuesto más real basado en los requisitos nutricionales que deben adquirir estas personas.

Pre requisitos para el despistaje nutricional:

Si bien poseemos el recurso humano para hacer los despistajes en las poblaciones objetivos, es necesaria una serie de requisitos, los mismos en función de que el despistaje pueda ser realizado.

Estos requisitos están conformados por:

Equipos

- Básculas.

- Cintas métricas.

- Escuadra Antropométrica.

- Planillas.

Logísticos:

- Almuerzo para el equipo de trabajo durante la jornada.

- Transporte.

Actualmente el proyecto no cuenta con dichos recursos y estas personas que se ofrecieron como voluntarios tampoco poseen dichos recursos por lo cual solicitamos ante ustedes un donativo previo que sirva para la compra de los mismos quedando de tal forma disponibles al proyecto para futuras actividades nutricionales.

- Almuerzo para el equipo de trabajo durante la jornada. (4 días/1 día por comunidad) = $5 = $20 en total.

- Transporte para 15 personas (4 días / 1 día por comunidad) = $5 cada día = 20$ en Total.

Gasto total:

El gasto logístico se refiere al almuerzo e hidratación del equipo médico nutricional que estará laborando en la jornada medica durante los 4 días en las 4 diferentes comunidades así como su transporte a las mismas, considerando que ellas están alejadas unas de otras y que estas personas están prestando su apoyo gratuito para estas jornadas que pueden extenderse durante horas.
