Supporting people

This week we distribute arepas to vulnerable people in the eastern region of the country where children and young people walk the streets and shops looking for something to eat. We also gave a little hope to a family that rummaged through the garbage.

Among other things, we sent a donation to the allied foundation Corazón de León, which will make the respective photographic record of the delivery of the same to cases of needy people who come to their hands. The donation consisted of: 10 kg of rice, 2 maternal milks, 100 ibuprofen, 100 acetaminophen.

Food for life and nutritional screening:

Food for life | Next objectives and small view of the program.

We have managed to complete the purchase of all the implements for the nutritional screening to be applied in the various communities to be supported in the future, remembering that they will be the base communities to support for a period of 3 months with our Food for Life program. The instruments purchased locally as well as those acquired through Amazon are already here, it only remains to define the dates with the specialists and compare the people in the communities.

We would not have been able to complete this small step without your help! Thank you very much!

¡Muchas gracias!

Situation of the country

Recently the government announced new banknotes that will be added to the monetary cone.
While people may think this means something positive for the country's economy, it means the opposite.

In the last 20 years, the government has made several modifications to the monetary cone, the first in 2007 when the late President Hugo Chavez suppressed three zeros to the currency, only 9 years later under the government of Nicolas Maduro new coins and notes were added to the existing monetary cone at that time. Then in 2018 Nicolás Maduro decided to eliminate the so-called "Bolívar Fuerte" and implement the "Bolívar Soberano" thus removing 5 zeros from the currency.

This change of currency ended in a very low printing of banknotes and a debt of more than 20 million dollars to the company De La Rue, in charge of making the banknotes. Today paper money is something that covers only 10% of the population who must be handled with bank transfers or debit cards to survive in a society where cash is almost non-existent.

Already by the end of 2018 the economist Leonardo Buniak reported that this monetary cone had been born dead so it was going to be necessary to add more notes to that monetary cone, today after a year of hyperinflation we can see that again the government begins to add zeros to the currency trying to cope with an economic situation of which they are not able to control.

This week will be for medicines

We have received several cases of children needing medication, people crying for not having an anticonvulsant, we have observed how they ask for help to get a simple solution 09.

We want to take a small break this week in food aid and take the fund that enters the project to try to buy some of these drugs.

These people also deserve to live and we want to support them as much as possible. This would not be possible without all the support they give us.
