Steeming Hopes


Hunger, poverty, thirst and malnutrition
Many of us suffer from severe deprivation.
It’s only us who created this financial inequality
For no fault, they suffer due to human stupidity.

None of us deserve such a miserable life
Violations of basic rights is cause of strife
On the fundamental level of our sustenance,
All of us are same, irrespective of appearance.

Despite of this equality, we see the injustice,
Struggle for merely sustaining a life is a surprise.
Only capable and considerate humans can help out
If they are really willing, concerned and can reach out.

Today tech for generating funding & helping is easier
Blockchain can be used to unchain the shackles quicker
@sircork has an idea with an incredible scope
He’s knitting a community called @youarehope.

Charity will ride on value created by blockchain
Creating & curating will make SBD & Steem rain.
Distressed economies and poverty stricken place
Will now get food, clothing and everything else.

But this “You’re Hope” project is a bit corky
Non-inclusive humane gesture sounds dorky.
Suffering and distressed are not just humans
World of misery is intenser for non-humans

Shouldn’t voiceless, innocent non-humans have any hope?
Without @youarehope community, how will they cope?
Our circle of compassion should be all-pervading and all-inclusive,
World should live in peace and unity, Blockchain can’t be so unfair & divisive!

I only hope that all hope is not lost
@youarehope will be hope for the most
I wish this community all the best
Spreading the smile east and west!
