Closeup Portraits of Rachelle: Photography - My Own Work

Introduction

As many of you know I love portraits particularly those that are very close up and intimate.  I also love black and white and I have difficulty deciding which I prefer.  Here I have put the both colour and monochrome together so you can decide.  Most of the techniques used to create these have been discussed in my previous tutorials (I'll put a proper list at the bottom).

The Photos

Portrait 1 Colour

Portrait 1 B&W - I've gone for a dark contrasty look for this one.

Portrait 2 Colour

Portrait 2 B&W

Portrait 3 Colour

Portrait 3 B&W

Portrait 4 Colour

Portrait 4 B&W

Let me know what you think of the shots as always.  Also if there are any particular questions you have or technique you would like me to discuss or explain please feel free to ask - I could do a new tutorial or just answer in the comments if there is enough space.

Great job as usual. I like color photos better , but I know alot of people like black and white better. Although there are sum photos that look better in black and white.

I think it is down to personal taste. Thanks for your support:)

Beautiful photographs, as always. I love the black and white, and the mystery and retro style they lend these photographs. But I must say, the model looks so lovely in color because of her coloring -- her creamy skin, rich brown hair, and her brown doe-like eyes. Stunning!

Thank you. You are too kind:)

good pictures!

Great capture of the hair movement. The color and clarity is awesome, and she's beautiful, too. (I am not a photographer, just a layman viewer here).

Thank you for taking the time and your kind words. You don't have to be a photographer to see and if you like photography it is easier than ever to start:)

The black and whites are by far my favorite. I love how they have a soft fade on the blacks but still good contrast.

Thanks. I always go back and forth on which I prefer.

I like this one

Good choice. Thanks for taking the time to comment and voting:)

Good work! Keep going! Upvote!

Fantastic work, @thecryptofiend. I must apologise in that I may not possess the technical knowledge to assess the shots, but from what I actually see with my own two eyes, they could be used on the cover of a magazine. They look that good.

Keep up the great posts and hope everything else in your life is great with you. :)

Thank you for your continued support. You are too kind! Glad you like them.

Things are better my eye is better and I will be returning to the gym this week too:)

Fantastic news. Glad you are feeling much better. And also happy that you didn't have much downtime in posting here on Steemit. Many would miss your presence here. :)

Thanks. I've gotten used to using my right eye more. They said it could take a few months before my vision in the left completely normalises.

Beatiful photos and model. I like both colour and black and white. The contrast is nice.
