RE: My 1st Progressive Report On The Steemit Platform

Hi @blessedbee and a big thank you for sharing your thoughts so far with us. I can feel your energy and enthusiasm whilst reading and it's nice to see some of those that you've mentioned already take the time to reply.

It's also great to see that when you take the time to read a post and vote on it, you also follow-on and leave a comment. I think that this is a great quality.

I'd like to share some thoughts for you - things to make you think about a few different things...

You write a lot about why you write about certain topics and the communities that you've joined. Looking through the subjects, the trigger and motivation has always been to enter a contest, including your favourite post.

In your introduction, you say that you:

love music and dance, I love traveling, I like cooking

If I hadn't seen this in your introduction, I would never have guessed that these are your hobbies and interests.

Aside from the Diary Games, have you considered just writing about the things you love without the constraints of a contest entry? I.e. something that just triggers your creative mind?

I believe this can be linked to your number of followers - I notice that this is currently 12, which includes beemengine and your introducer @goodybest. This perhaps signifies to me that whilst your individual posts are attracting comments, readers are missing something which makes them think "I'm going to follow her". What do you think this might be? And if I challenge you to get to 50 before your next report, what would you do to achieve this?

Thanks again for sharing this report with us 👍

I'd like to invite a few of the community admins from those that you visit most to read your post and share their thoughts with you too:
@irawandedy from STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE
@ngoenyi from Steem Kids & Parents
@patjewell from Steem For Ladies
@sualeha from Incredible India

Thank you @the-gorilla for the invite. This is a great idea that a newbie will have to write a progressive report about his or her experience on the blog.

I can say that the said user has really demonstrated activeness on the blog which proves that she is really ready to blog and follow all rules.

If I hadn't seen this in your introduction, I would never have guessed that these are your hobbies and interests. Aside from the Diary Games, have you considered just writing about the things you love without the constraints of a contest entry? I.e. something that just triggers your creative mind?

But concerning these points above, I can say that most newbies don't even understand anything while making their introduction post. They think perhaps it is just like filling a form and then it doesn't matter.

I can also say, or I have come to understand that sometimes, their hobbies doesn't mean that they can write on those areas but they just enjoy those hobbies. But if it is a challenge that they must write on them, trust me, they can do so.

She really did her best during the engagement challenge in the steem kids and parents community.

Thank you very much, @ngoenyi ma'am, I am a work in progress, I will surely improve.

I want to start off by congratulating @blessedbee.

Well done, girl! Today actually marks your two months on the platform. 🎕

For someone who has been on Steemit for only two months, you have done an excellent job! It was after a month and a bit of posting that you posted in Steem For Ladies and were one of the winners. This does not often happen with newbies. I can remember clearly that I had to take a second look before I gave the booming vote. Keep it up!

Now over to you, my friend, The-gorilla.

We cannot expect a Steemian to be perfect after two months. If they show enthusiasm, willingness to attend meetings, and willingness to learn, plus they can write quality posts they get a big YES from me!
I, for one, would LOVE to work with this Steemian!

And now, I am off to bed!

Thank you very much, @patjewell, ma'am for your commendation, I am very excited. I will keep improving.

Pleasure! 🎕

Hello @the-gorilla, thank you very much, sir for taking the time to read my report. Thanks for the commendations in areas I have done well. Let me comment on my weakness, which I am eventually working on.

(1) In your introduction, you say that you:
love music and dance, I love traveling, I like cooking

My honest reply: I love the aforementioned, but I never knew I could be writing about these things, I never thought of that, I just love them. Though I have demonstrated my cooking skills in some diary games and cooking contests. Henceforth, I will try creating content about my hobbies.

(2) Aside from the Diary Games, have you considered just writing about the things you love without the constraints of a contest entry? I.e. something that just triggers your creative mind?

My honest reply; I have tried, though not as I should have, for example, I once wrote about patience, and peace in steem for betterlife community. I have also written about marriage, and domestic violence in steem for ladies.

This rhetorical question has helped me see that I need to be innovative in my writing, and think of something new and interesting to write about, thank you very much, henceforth, I will focus more on this.

(3) I believe this can be linked to your number of followers - I notice that this is currently 12, which includes beemengine and your introducer @goodybest. This perhaps signifies to me that whilst your individual posts are attracting comments, readers are missing something which makes them think "I'm going to follow her". What do you think this might be?

What I think: my posts lack innovation, which most of my readers have not read before. I have been thinking about this, and I believe I will come up with something, thank you for the question.

(4) And if I challenge you to get to 50 before your next report, what would you do to achieve this?

My humble reply: I will try and be innovative, and develop my hobbies as recommended, just do my best, and I believe followers will eventually come. I will see if I can win the challenge, but if I don't, will you continue to nurse me?

My only objective is to challenge your thinking and expectation of what you can do here. I read an excellent post today where somebody had freed themselves from the constraints of a contest and suddenly their writing took a new dimension. A higher level of authenticity. Freedom.

In my opinion, this freedom is only achievable outside the constraints of a contest where you choose what to write about. Where you’re not worried about answering a question or what the judge will rate it.

There is no right or wrong here. Many just churn out contest entries and they’re happy doing that. think those people are missing an emotional connection that freedom brings.

I also want to experience that freedom, sir @the-gorilla, as such I will apply the suggestions.

Hi @blessedbee it brings me joy to see your progress on the platform, I've known you to be a fast learner and I strongly believe that you will greatly improve over time. As the-gorilla suggested

Turn your hobbies into your niche, for example, you like dancing, music, traveling, and food. You can blog about the latest music and releases in Nigeria, some of our music artists and why you like them, and their songs or beatings, this is just a tip I know you can be creative! But overall it's a yes from me my amiable the-gorilla!

Thank you very much @goodybest, boss, for the commendation. I will surely apply the suggestions, I am praying for divine wisdom.
