Traveling, money, love & happiness – From Employee to Digital Nomad

 Hi, my name is Suzzane and here is my little story.



 I have decided to join Steemit because I want to be part of something big and I think that Steemit is becoming something HUGE.

 I was born and raised in the Czech Republic, studied high school in the US, university in Denmark and currently live in Spain. I love to travel, explore new things, learn new things and make MONEY!



 I used to work as an employee in a clothing shop, I worked 12 hour shifts and didn't have time or money. About two and a half year ago me and my boyfriend have decided to escape the rat race. We sat in the living room of our rented apartment, both tired from work, thinking that we have to change something, we have to make more time for ourselves and make more money. We wanted freedom, but at that time, we didn't know where and how to get it.



 We needed to find someone, who could help us. Someone experienced in business and/or investing.

 But where do you find people like that?

 We did some internet research and found a group of entrepreneurs in our hometown meeting every two weeks for breakfast and talking business. We gave it a shot, paid guest fee and attended our first Business 4 Breakfast.



 Beside that we also made a deal, that we will say YES to every meeting (financial advisers, MLM people, business opportunities, seminars etc...) in order to make a picture about the opportunities out there.

 Every missed meeting meant a missed opportunity.

 After our first event, which was the breakfast with entrepreneurs, we received several invitations for meetings and seminars from the participants. Following week we had 6 meetings with 6 different people from 6 different areas (banking, MLM – Amway, investments, real estate, personal growth, health & beauty). The ball started to roll and with every meeting we attended as a couple of beginning entrepreneurs/investors, there were other follow-up meetings. Suddenly we had so many opportunities to choose from.

 This had been going on for a while, we started reading books on business, investing and personal growth. We met regularly with a private group of investors who we played Kiyosaki's Cashflow with. And around that time we both quit our job.

 The following year, we started with several MLM/investment projects, started our own sports nutrition company and worked as freelance English teachers and translators on the side.

 After a while, around summer 2016, we started to receive our first passive income from our investments.

 Everything was great, we had freedom, time and money. We could afford to eat at restaurants every day, we didn't have to set alarm to wake us up in the morning etc...

 Anyway, we were still missing one important mutual passion – traveling (and hot weather). Those of you who have no idea what the weather is like in the Czech Republic, it's cold, wet and windy not only in winter. There is about one week of actual hot summer during summer months, the rest is rainy, windy and cloudy.



  So after another “springish” summer, we have put our heads together with my boyfriend again and from day to day we have decided to move to Spain. It was the end of September, I remember that because we had to cancel all our contracts (apartment, utilities..) due to 2 month notice period.

 We set a goal to be in Spain before the first snow fall. We sold all our stuff from the apartment to obtain money for plane tickets. Our plan was to leave in November because of our rental contract and we DID. We found a shared apartment in Spain throught some facebook groups and moved to Spain.



 It is also important to mention one interesting fact, neither of us spoke Spanish at that time, only Czech or English. First, we moved to shared apartment with some Italian guy in late November of 2016 and spent our first Spanish Christmas in our own apartment that we found just 4 weeks later.

 We have been living in Spain for 8 months now, we dived into Cryptocurrency world, we operate our company online and we have grown our translation work as we are employing one translator ourselves.



 I have cut the story short, there is more to it, but this is just an introduction, maybe I will write seperate posts about other events we experienced on our way.

 This is my second blog/Steemit post ever, so hopefully I will write more. I would like to contribute to society and pass on my know-how from personal growth, business, investments and traveling areas.
