Afternoon Steemers and Krispy Kreme lovers!

I mentioned yesterday was my cheat day and I was treating myself to some Krispy Kremes. I stuck to my word and I did have three. I am going to tell you about the Santa Belly that I had last night. Was it a festive treat? Did it give me that 'Ho ho ho?' Read on to find out!

Santa Belly

A kreme filled donut, dipped in a raspberry flavour icing and finished off with an iced belt and iced buttons.

This donut is very plump! It certainly stands out in the Krispy Kreme cabinet. It’s has that festive red icing and a bright yellow buckle. As I sit down to eat this donut, I get the smell of the raspberry icing. I bite into the donut and I can see my teeth marks in the icing. It’s quite thick. Very nice raspberry flavour. The buckle is made of fondant. The brown belt and buttons seem to be made of fondant as well. I expected the belt and buttons to taste chocolatey, but they didn’t. The kreme in the centre of the donut was nice. It was Krispy Kremes signature kreme. White, smooth and creamy with a vanilla taste. The raspberry icing works well with the kreme. Not too sweet, just right! I’m glad I got a lot of filling. I love it when you bite in and you don’t have to poke around to find the centre. A very nice festive donut!

I would recommend the Santa Belly. I’m going to make sure I get some more in before the festivities finish. Saying that, I think I will end up with a Santa Belly if I do! Watch this space for the other festive donuts Steemit.
