Pennsif's Sustainability Curation Digest for MSP - week ending 11 November 2018

in #minnowsupport6 years ago

SteemFest3 is just coming to a close as I write this.

I am looking forward to the SF attendees getting back to base and inspiring and enthusing everyone around them to move up a gear.

Activity, and posts, seem to have been a bit thin on the ground this past week.

But I've still managed to find 5 worthy posts that are most definitely worth a read and an upvote...

My Five Picks of the Week

Food Waste Pickup #24 | Turkish Yoghurt and Fresh Juice [2018.11.02] by @solikyl

The Solidarity Fridge (Solikyl) is an open and collaborative project aimed at reducing food waste. I am very, very happy to see this excellent food waste project posting again. It is based in Sweden - I am wondering if @reko has a hand in this....

The Benefits of Prepping by @surviveuk

I'm a prepper and I am proud of it! Good to see another UK prepping account on steem...

How I'm Winterizing My Duck Pen and House by @marxrab

Looks like these ducks are going to be warm and cosy this winter...

We Saved A Feral Honey Bee Swarm From A Pool Pump House! by @craigcryptoking

Bee rescue in action...

Apple Crisp Minis by @lenasveganliving

There is nothing wrong with a tasty slice of caramel obsession Lena...

I am always on the lookout for posts to include in this weekly Sustainability Curation Digest.

I am also always seeking out new guests for my radio show that I host on MSP Waves Radio every Thursday.

If you are interesting in coming on the show, or if you have suggestions for suitable posts for this digest, feel free to comment below, or contact me on Discord @Pennsif#9921.

I also run a charitable giving project called A Dollar A Day - you can read more about that here :

I am looking for more projects to support with that and I am particularly interested in finding some sustainability / renewables related projects.

The Minnow Support Project has multiple curators that pick five posts from under-valued minnows each week to highlight through MSP3k. This way MSP and PAL can promote new writers and content creators on Steemit, and in effect reward them for doing a superior job.

MORE OF MY POSTS...

Actually the @solikyl account was created before i even knew who @reko was, even if he claimed in one of his posts that he got us on Steemit. However he has promoted @solikyl in few of his posts and his doing his part in rescuing food waste by dumpsted diving but not as a part of our project .... yet.

Thanks for the attention to our posts and the project, keep up the good work.

Im now much more motivated to continue posting on Steemit and keep the community updated on how much food waste can be rescued using this simple concept, of just eating it and sharing with others :)

Here is a sneak peek from our latest pickup that i will post soon.

I am looking forward to seeing more posts from your great project.

Great and diverse features, as always @pennsif! And most of the wonderful writers are those I'm already following. My brother I've been following (actually he's followed big sister all his life ;) Nice going to the bee enthusiastic @craigcryptoking! Happy that you featured the lovely @lenasveganliving and of course the practical @surviveuk. Well done everyone

Thank you for the comment and I am glad you enjoyed this week's selection.

You are welcome.
