Hello, steemians!

Welcome to JASI! (Just Another Steemit Introduction). This is Season 1, Episode 1 of @negativer’s steemit journey.

We’ve all seen this show before, I’m sure, but if I can entice you with shared interests or curiosities, feel free to follow me as long as you like, or comment.

My name is Peter. I’m a roughly middle-aged man and married to an amazing lady, Erin (@morodiene). We’re coming up on our 20th anniversary in just a couple months, but it still feels like I’ve only just met her.

I was originally born and raised in Wisconsin, but Erin and I live mostly in South Florida for the last 6 years or so now. We travel to Wisconsin during the summer to escape the boiling sweat summers of Florida. We have two kitties who travel with us. We recently upgraded our traveling workflow from a pickup truck to a motorhome. Eventually, we'd like to have it be our traveling studio and office.

I am essentially self-employed as a web designer and developer, and work from home. I own a business I started in 1999 with 2 other partners, and after going through the cycles of employees, disappointment with partners, offices, taxes, payrolls, building maintenance, and all that, over time I bought out my partners, let my employees go, and sold the office building. The stress and mental load of maintaining that work environment was too much. Life is too short to burden yourself with all that excess strain (unless you enjoy it, in which case, stay away from me so I don’t get infected).

I have several hobbies and interests, some more nascent than others, some waiting in hibernation, some fully in their prime.

Currently, I spend my productive time homebrewing (beer/cider/kombucha), motorhome remodeling and upgrading, DIY work around the house, and of course, web development/programming work (the stuff that actually pays the bills).

My leisure activities include watching anime, writing, and listening to audiobooks (the perfect balance of productivity and pleasure while doing anything is to listen to audiobooks while doing it, in my opinion. With some very specific exclusions…of course.)

My future steemit plans include posting some photo blogs on my motorhome remodeling projects, offering some information on homebrewing, and perhaps some stories of our motorhome travels.

My wife and I are also focusing on healthy and organic eating, finding local produce and meats, and avoiding the temptations of sugars and packaged foods. So, there will likely be some stories about that as well.
