7 Day Positivity Challenge | Day 2 | Being Grateful For Being Alive

Goooood day readers! How are you? Let's be grateful for all the small things we have in life!

This is the Day 2 of my gratitude challenge and I'd like to talk about something we sometimes forget - this small evolutionary miracle that make us all possible, it's called LIFE.

7 Day Positivity Challenge | Day 1 | My Parents Started It All

As I said in my last post,  I believe that noticing every small things in your life is the way to go. You'll not only become a more sociable person (Who, here, likes people who only complain?) but you'll see that happiness is indeed a simple sexy beast, it doesn't come from extraordinary deeds only. All this sounds easy on a text, it isn't on practice.

Many people think that traveling will bring this mindset change instantly, when in truth, it's not the case if you fail to value the small things. It's not being in front of Mount Fitz Roy, Perito Moreno, at some paradisiac beach in Brazil or anywhere amazing in this world, that will make you happy. One could complain that it's rainy and windy on the mountains, or that the sun is too hot at the beach, there's always something wrong - Nothing will ever be perfect.

However, you can make it all perfect.

  • What if, insteady of complaining about the weather, you could be grateful for being able to climb that trail - You could be in hospital.
  • What if, instead of complaining about the hot sun, you could be grateful for being on vacations - You could be working hard below that same sun.

Believe me, all those silly complains I hear every single day when I'm traveling. Tourists bitching about everything, then they go back to their work with the same old problems. Has the travel solved the problem? Or they are the problem?

I won't go any further on the subject or I'll deviate a lot from the purpose of this post, which is posting something that I'm grateful for.

     - Arthur, what does all that got to do with what you are grateful for? - You ask.

Everything, my reason for being grateful today is the root for making everything prettier. If you keep on reading you'll see one small example of how you can start changing your mindset into a more positive vibe, starting from the basics. It's all connected.

So, for what am I grateful today?

I'm grateful for being ALIVE, for being able to wake up another morning - Be it gods fault, or death going on vacation, or the force, or science, or any other religious/scientific reason you believe.

It's absolutely beautiful being able to wake up, kick the covers and open the window - Thank you life for giving me another day.

I'll praise the sun and be happy if it is there; or complain a bit if it's rainy, you have the right to not like rain. - Remember, nothing can be ever perfect.

However, that is no reason to not be positive. I don't need to tell myself that rainy days suck, instead, I'll tell myself that it's good to have some rain - my dad's plantations will have a chance to grow, I'm happy for him.

If you want to change your mindset for a more positive vibe....

start from the biginning, open your window one morning and tell to yourself

"Thank you Life!"

Have you praised life today? - Don't tell me that your life is miserable, after all you are ALIVE! You could be under the ground, which would not be cool.

I'm sorry if this post went to deep into the motivational speech, all I wanted was to bring some light for those who feel sad today, and at the same time talk about my 2nd reason to be grateful for.

I was tagged by @riverflows to:

Write a post about something you have to be positive about today - this could be anything from being thankful for your current situation, someone being nice to you, being thankful for your friends and family, or even being thankful for the opportunity you have been given here on Steemit - just keep it positive :)
  • Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated.
  • Mention three people who should do this on each day.
  • Tag it with #7daypositivitychallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post Include a picture of something positive (related to your story if possible.)
  • Tip: You need to put the # in front of 7daypositivitychallenge or it will not let you use the tag.

I would like to tag my friends @sina-adventure @jessicaoutside @ginnyannette whom I believe would write some beautiful texts - please don't feel obligated, but you've been tagged!

And you, what are you grateful for? Don't be sad if I haven't tagged you, we still have 5 more days to go.

If you liked this post, please, consider leaving your upvote for a hot coffee.

I laugh when people moan about the rain. We get drought here and people complain about NO rain. Seriously? It's weather. It's better than being dead.

I love this and people need to consider what awesome things are in life rather than complain!!!! It only makes big negative imprints on your brain that makes your outlook more miserable!!!!!!

I hate travelling near people who moan about superficial things. I'm like... why the hell did you leave home?
I love your happy outlook. Xx

The same here, we mostly complain about lack of rain. @mrprofessor How could you complain about rain? (Except the fact that it would be a mess to bike under the rain haha)

But even then.. no complaining!! Lol

A little bit of complaining is not bad, it could be a start of a conversation, don't be obsessed with it. 😆

Um.. I'm not? Did you miss the Lol?

I was kidding in the reply too...
I used an emoji but i looks like it didn't work with esteem.
I'm ususally kidding except mentioned (like another comment i wrote on this post)

HAHAHA don't fight you bastards, I love you two!

My bad. Even in face to face conversations, i tend to not show any facial expression when kidding, so it's hard to guess if i'm kidding or not.

Heyho Sina, I do complain but just out of frustration for not being able to do somethings. But I do understand the importance of rain, so I don't let my complains take control.

It's more like saying "oh, it's raining today" and then I move on with my life.

Oh yeah, I mean, people who complain a lot end up drawning our energies, it's tiring!

People who complain about rain should learn some empathy; how many farmers are just hoping for some water! We fail to understand that rain is life.

I'm so so sorry for not commenting your comment! I'm completely going crazy this week. Xoxo

@mrprofessor you know that my life is a misery and i have nothing to be grateful of. Tag someone else... .... just tag someone else! ... let me die in my misery... LEAVE ME ALONE...

[Let's be serious]
I'll try to write aomething, i like this topic, but i don't think i'm going to tag any one.

Come on! I think you have an awesome life - Beautiful places to cycle, incredible photos.

You don't need to go ultra deep into your thoughts, you can just talk about small things each day.
You could be grateful for learning photography, for having a great health to cycle, to have a bicycle to cycle. You can make it simple.

I was just kidding...
And that "lets be serious " was for the second part.
I will

Ufff hahahaha pardon my ignorance when it comes to understanding irony - I do know you have a cool life, who else has the guts to cycle in the snow hahaha.

Totally agree with you on this one!

Won't complain about rain, but sometimes I complain a little bit about the wind, when it's off probably discovering other places while blowing around. Even the wind needs some time off I know. 😅

But without this feeling there won't be the happiness those days when your waking up in bed and you hear the shutters rattling in the wind. You don’t know how fast you need to get out of it and you do a little dance to praise the goddess of the winds, grab your gear and get as fast as possible on the water 🏄‍♂️ Praise life but keep in mind allow these less beautiful moments, so that you can enjoy the beautiful things in life all the more! 🤙

Absolutely well written! It is exactly what I think.

We do need to feel cold to enjoy heat; suffer headwinds to enjoy calm days or vice-versa. It's all an equilibrium afterall.
But most people don't understand it and they let negativism take place, gosh they even contradict themselves.

"Oh it's rainy" then the other day "ah it's to hot". Decide for gods sake hahahahahaha

Thanks for the comment Remy
