XTradeio [XRTD] is a cryptocurrency exchange project that aims to change the way people interact with exchanges. XTRD plans on bringing the competitive advantage of lower fees, higher liquidity and combining different platforms. The cryptocurrency market today is very volatile and prices are moved every single second, XTRD wants to build a smarter exchange that will make transactions easier for traders and institutional investors. Daily trading volumes in cryptocurrencies have recently reached around $20 billion, but innovation within exchanges have fallen short of expectations from financial investors and has caused institutional investors to pause or back-out of crypto. Many different exchanges are active and prices are scattered between these exchanges making arbitrage opportunity to those who have the trading bots, which are not available for everyone making it an unfair practice.

Problems in the market –
A few problems exist in the cryptocurrency exchange market that is found in most exchanges which include complex regulation, high fees, and low liquidity. Exchanges often fall into different Know your customer (KYC) regulatory problems, and often follow bad trading policies that don’t price the assets accordingly. This leads to a price difference between exchanges as an automatic pricing tool is often used that isn’t always accurate. Since these centralized exchanges have a central point of failure they will often be at risk for hacks or exploits that lead to the liquidity problems. The cryptocurrency space has been often thought of to have lower fees than traditional financial markets, however, the fees are still high. Fees range from .1-.25% and since the cryptocurrency space is unregulated, fees and transactional costs can be unfair and not follow the regulated practice. Liquidity is a huge problem that can cost investors a lot of money if they are not aware of other exchange prices. For example, if a person or company was to buy a million dollars’ worth of bitcoin, they might be spending an extra fifty to one hundred thousand dollars given the liquidity of the particular exchange. This is a huge problem with exchanges and has caused institutional investors with millions of dollars to hold back on entering the market which will be crucial for cryptocurrency adoption.
XTRD will be fixing these problems with three different implementations. The first implementation will be creating the multi-exchange fix, this creation will allow exchanges to communicate efficiently and combined the pricing of multiple exchanges allowing for the best prices that are fair. This will allow more investors to enter the space and will give them the tools to accurately participate with multiple exchanges through one tool. The next implementation will be the XTRD trading platform which will allow active traders to use a downloadable application that will be custom to the particular trader and will feature 24/7 uptime.
XTRD wants to bring the power of trading into any investor’s arms, and even the playing field out. The final implementation will allow cross exchange execution which will allow traders to receive the best possible prices and allow the traders to transact at the cheapest possible cost.
