Lights and Hope

I will tell you a story.
Of lights and hope.
We hold on to dreams
like a box of "handle with care" items.

It's every list we had
made in school when
someone asked us
what we want to be
when we grow up.

It is every crumpled
piece of paper when you
realised going in space
scared you.

It has all those books
which you read
and got inspired from.

And then, you have hope.

Hope of being better,
of living your dream,
of not losing all
your chances.

You literally live by the
hope you don't believe in.
Because somewhere,
there is a part of you.
Making you believe
the lights in the dark,
in sunrises than sunsets.

And you see,
till the time
there is something
making you believe in
all this, you will be fine.

You can find your sanity
in the chaos.
You can open your box
of dreams and try
making them come true.

Because someone,
at sometime,
had told me that there
is a lot you can do to
get what you want.

But the least you can do is try.
