[Original Fiction] The Three Sisters #4 - When the Gate Opens Up
The mosquito did not feel really good. At this memorable moment, when the mosquito was sure to have chosen the right angle for the approach to the glittering something, it froze in mid-air. Well, the mosquito didn't really know what there was to come within the next minutes, I guess. Surely better so.
First the little legs froze, then the uncomfortable feeling moved right up to the head. Complete rigidity, unbearable stiffness. The only thing it could remember was this green mist surrounding its body before losing consciousness for a moment. Its instinct had led it into the bar. Just like Jo had found his way to this crazy place. Both had the same driving force pushing them forward on the creepy path of this night. The same indescribable feeling that they both have followed. Nearly. Nearly, only, they had the same goal.
Instinct let them, pushed them, step by step. Jo was urgently looking for somebody who could help him after he had the crash with "Darling". And the mosquito, well, it was urgently looking for a way to quench its thirst. A human hand that helps to feed it, if you like to put it that way. Both were looking for some, yet unknown person to help. In one way or the other, of course. Both followed their instincts to this unreal place in the narrow street in this rainy night. Who cares much about his instinct when you need help. Who thinks about the driving force behind ones instinct and who reflects prior to walking the path of destiny instinctively. Most of the time this situation is crowned by surprises or you end up in strange places.
The mosquito would certainly not have thought that its instinct would bring it not only into the Three Villages Lounge, or rather, shabby Bar but also into a completely different dimension. Into a shifted parallel reality.
Yes. Now what? The enlightened readers among you will now raise questions and ask whether it is a dimension or a shifted reality. A dimension, a lifelike, realistic quality. A reality, the totality of all real things and events. The place to which the mosquito was transported after it liquified in the air before, felt completely real for it. After it regained its feelings and its awareness that it still owns a body, the mosquito was completely sure it was all real. Reality. Processed by his most effective eyes its existence had an absolutely realistic and lifelike quality. It had no doubt about it. Whether the mosquito was aware of the totality of all real things and events according to the definition of reality? Well, what does a mosquito know? Or does it?
But maybe, yes maybe the mosquito knew so much more than we could ever imagine. With its facet eyes, it could recognize many more colors than humans are capable of. And not only that. The mosquitoes eyes processed within the same time a five-time larger amount of pictures as humans. This way the mosquito might have witnessed more visual explanation than a human being would have seen within the same timeframe. The dissolution of the body, the journey through the world of particles and the subsequent re-materialization.
But did the mosquito know that it traveled through a micro-wormhole. Through one of these micro-wormholes that now exist all over the planet. Or better reality, or shall I say this dimension?
Anyway. One thing is for sure. Micro-wormholes can be identified easily with observing the change of time around it. You have to look very closely to find those micro-wormholes. Therefore they are called micro-wormholes, but for sure they exist. And there are more appearing every day. Close to them, the speed of time is slowed down. Just a very small fraction of a second, but measurable, noticeable, observable. Come closer, maybe you can feel them.
What exactly the mosquito felt when - fortunately - it arrived alive and unharmed at this place shifted in time and space is rather unclear. I guess it was just happy to be alive and that it got a second chance to continue its search for a suitable victim.
You always have a choice and an end is never an ending.
The technology used by the leader of the three sisters, which was built into her black walking cane, was very similar in effect to that of a micro-wormhole. But why was it activated when the mosquito got close to it? And where did it transport the poor mosquito?
Well, these questions will be answered in Chapter 5.
