The sound of time
Every time you breathe,
I am always counting,
counting till your end.
You think you can control me,
But you’re the only one who’s being controlled.

Every time you think, every time you feel,
every decision you make,
every chance you take,
it’s all a matter of time.
I am always taking part of it.
__
You wish to go back,
So you can try it again, so you can change it all.
That’s how regret feels like.
That’s the feeling of guilty and shame.
__
Now you think about tomorrow,
an uncertain monster you call future.
But that’s just one of my many names.
__
No matter how hard you try my dear,
time always beats you. Time is not enough.
__
Tick tock. Your time is running out.

Well, I wanted to personificate time as if it is the antagonist of our lives. So, yes. Actually, that was what I was aiming for.
