@CharlieShrem - Meet The Witnesses #35
Charlie Shrem was an early and active author on Steemit, and made some impressive rewards from posting portions of his books and articles.
However, as he noted in the pages of his blog, he stepped back from authoring approximately 8 months ago to promote a more balanced reward pool. At the time, a few large authors could monopolize a large share of the reward pool, even with moderate posting frequency, and he felt that this would allow more smaller authors to get recognized on the Steemit platform.
Since then, Charlie has taken on a full-time role as director of business development at Jaxx.io, the “largest multi-token and coin wallet across 9 platforms, including Android, iOs, Windows, Mac, and Linux.” Based on his Steemit profile, he would appear to now be the CTO (Chief Technical Officer), so this gig appears to be going well for him!
Behind the scenes, Charlie has been working on enabling more fiat on- and off-ramps for Steem, which would facilitate more transactions into (and out of) the Steem ecosystem. These are critical for mass adoption and onboarding of users who wish to buy stake. You can see his work on the “Payza.com” on-ramp in the linked post below. He has also recently posted a nifty tutorial on adding cryptocurrency price feeds to your Macbook Touchbar.

Do the witnesses from #21 to #50 get daily rewards?
All active witnesses will produce some amount of blocks, and receives a small STEEM reward for each block produced. The top 20 witnesses produce a block every round and one witness is chosen each round from all witnesses ranked 21 and up with higher ranking witnesses having a higher chance of being chosen.
So even #150 will get some amount of daily rewards, though it will be relatively small.

Small world. I used Jaxx to make my first transaction (after purchase at CoinBase and transfer to the Jaxx wallet). Still so much to learn about cryptocurrency but thought that Jaxx would be a good wallet because it handles so many currencies. Good to know that a big steem player is behind the scenes.
