There were TONS of those second kinds of birds all over the ground near the feeder, @zen-art! They didn't seem to get along very well with the other birds that were watching from the trees...LOL! And thanks so much - I feel spoiled pretty much every day that we get to live here. Much love back to you. 💜
I think that's a fuzzy tailed seed thief bird... I like the little tree that could, before long he'll have that granite cracked in half and then what? More trees? Golly gee catwoman, looks like you had a nice walk. Good.
I do believe you're correct, and that's the proper scientific term for that "bird" - LOL! And it was a very nice walk - I haven't been able to do it as often as I like, so I doubly appreciate it when my body cooperates. And thanks, Steven!

Hi. Traci! Believe it not, I know where Durham is! I went to school for one year in New Hampshire and we used to go to Durham! I forgot how pretty is was there!

I always enjoy looking at your post. The pictures you have of the outdoors just gives a real calming effect.
Can just imagine sitting outdoors sipping tea and enjoying the view. Now, that's what life is all about .
Thank you, @ireenchew! I've spent many hours sipping a beverage (usually coffee) while wandering around the yard with my camera. Our youngest likes to take her books outside so she can sit on a blanket and read. It really is an amazingly peaceful piece of land, even though we're two seconds from lots of other houses & retail establishments. Thanks for dropping by!

The shot's from the birdfeeder of the woodpecker and the squirrel were awesome. You have some beautiful places to walk near your home. I can imagine it is very relaxing.

Thank you, @cheese4ead! Funny thing is, I stopped by the bird feeder because I noticed a bunch of chickadees (who are notoriously show offs for the camera) and thought I'd try for a shot or two. They immediately took off, and the woodpecker and chipmunk posed instead. And it's very relaxing, Gaz - thanks so much for coming along with me!
