We need the Earn Interest Tab or Earn Money Tab on Steemit! So potential users can easier and faster Understand this great Advantage, Differenciator from Steemit, towards the other old school centralized social media platforms

Hi Steemians and Utopians,

In continuation with my thoughts on making Steemit a better place, and making it shine and show its real differentiators, today I came up with the idea of implementing an "Interest Earning" tab.

If we have been here for a few months or more on steemit, we have been learning several things about the platform, and we should definitely know some of its differentiators from old school social media platforms like facebook or twitter. The one of today's idea (The possibility for steemit users to earn interest), is a big differentiator.

So, why not showing this on Steemit directly, so the world knows this, and when the mainstream media captures a screenshot, this aspect is also seen, from the beginning. People will think: "So, here on Steemit, we can earn interest for investing? Or we can earn interest with the funds we earn from rewards by posting, commenting and curating"? This will make people think more about it.

There is something important we steemians and utopians need to have clear. For us, many features of steemit and steem are for default, but if we go back to our first days here, we knew nothing. We came here to try it out without knowing how it would work. This same situation is how new potential users suffer, so know that we have tried so many features here, lets make it easier for the new ones, so they understand everything easier with the interface, and this will make a butterfly effect, bring tons of new people to the platform and to learn steem, and for sure, many of this people will be important investors too.

If we are able to add some of this key differentiators to the platform as the "Interest Earning" tab, we'll definitely get the attention of more people, faster. Even important sites will detect this and write a review about the site, and this can expand the visibility too.

Imagine for 1 second jerrybanfield doing an ad video or post of the ones he knows how to reach millions of people, and showing them the steemit interface with this "Interest Earning tab", and a voter power bar (see more on the power bar idea in a past post: https://steemit.com/utopian-io/@gold84/we-need-the-voting-power-bar-on-steemit-so-users-can-easily-check-how-much-there-vote-will-be-this-feature-will-also-show-this). This will definitely capture the attention of investors or other people it has not yet.

So, focusing on it, here is a screenshot of its placement. It can be done as a Tab, right next to wallet, or it can be as a Button, somewere at the top.

The main idea is that people can see this is something that can be done on the platform without the need to be on steemit, and without the need of researching as we did for days, weeks, months.

1- By just holding steempower.
lukestokes made a great post on how to earn interest just by holding steempower. If you hold steem instead of SP, your money is being diluted because you loose the possibility to earn the SP interest. In this tab link, users can be taken to a page were they are explained how to power up, in order to start earning interest and also tell them how they will be using the steempower, with their votes. This can be explained with both: text and video.

2- By renting SP to minnowbooster you can earn upto 24% anually interest.

Here users may click on this link, and they may go to a page were they are explained both, how to rent their steempower, and start receiving daily payments, and also how to get their delegation back. This helps them understand all the cycle, and be more confortable with what they are doing.

Yes, I know, some of this earning options are in test time. This tabs can be changed from time to time, and within inside it link it can be explained that this features use the steem blockchain however, they are independent projects from the community, so people know this.

4- Earn money by selling your vote to "minnowbooster"

On this one, users may click on the link and they will get to a page, were they are explained how to earn money by selling your vote. This specially works for investors that may not have enough time to use the platform to often.

"deeprocks" even created a calculator to know the about of steempower that can be earned. Not sure if the earnings continue this way, but thought it would be a great feature to check out.
