How You Can Grow a New Account Radically Fast on Steemit by Using Comments to Get New Followers With Step by Step Instructions

If you want to own Steemit, own the comments section! Here's how I do it!

Hi, you've arrived at tip #2 for today, see the intro here! Links to other tips at the bottom!###

NEW ACCOUNT GROWTH TIP # 2

Learn to Own the Comments!

Getting people to follow you is all about them. Remember that. As Dale Carnegie said in the perennial business classic, "How to Win Friends and Influence People" he says that the key to making a success in any endeavor in life is to take a genuine interest in others. Don't fake it. Not even until you make it!

Nobody cares about you until you care about them!

I know there are people that will but keeping this in mind as a safe assumption will go a long way toward good commenting skills.

There are two opportunities for using comments to earn support on steemit.

1. Your own comment section

Provided you're not having huge bandwidth issues, then you need to be replying to every single comment, every single day! Period. No excuses. Every comment you don't reply to (unless it's a bot or a spammer) could be a supporter lost.

  • Answer their comment, don't just say thanks!
  • Go check out their blog (especially if their rep score is over 50!) and add details from it to your comment!
  • Ask them a question about their response, or about your post. Engage in conversation.
  • Be polite and encouraging whenever possible. Be straightforward and kind to those you must correct, but don't let them think it's okay.

These comments get seen! Sometimes comments get added to a year later, trust me, I just answered a reply on @markrmorrisjr, this morning from a post a year old!

2. Other comment sections

If you're not spending some time chatting up people in categories you'd like to trend in, you're wasting a great opportunity. Don't just assume the author is your only target. Engage in conversations. If they read this type of content, they might check out yours!

DO NOT SPAM!

  • Don't just say "Great post!" and run, ever. Read the content and respond to it!
  • Don't leave links, unless they are on target and seem to be in line with the conversation. Even then, know, some authors hate it!
  • Don't hijack the thread. Be a part of the conversation.
  • Leave your mark with an at mention, like this, @markrmorrisjr. It creates a link to your blog, right where they can click it in the comment! easy.
  • Ask questions, or advice. If the post asks a question you can answer, do it, or better yet, go write a quick answer, post it and link to it! (this is when it's okay!)
  • Do invite them to "stop by" don't ask for followers, upvotes, or resteems. Ever. That's a thread hijack. NO_NO!

In my , I put "replies" at the top of my daily list. It cannot be stressed too much. Every comment. Every time. Every day.

Drop by and say hello @goldiemr if you have a free minute, I'd love some feedback on my recent posts about anxiety and stress. I'm moving toward trying to post content that will make a difference, and any thoughts or feedback is always gratefully accepted

Thanks @dolphinschool I'm enjoying these tips! I've been reading some @markrmorrisjr too :)
