#1 Shaoguan - A Peasant's Life / Landleben by @bossel

I probably mentioned it before, farming around Shaoguan, just like in most of Canton, is surprisingly small scale. Many farmers don't own a lot of land & manual labour still prevails. In some cases it obviously doesn't even matter whether livestock runs around freely, because everyone knows who owns what. That's how I met the above piglet & the chickens below. That's obviously not the rule, though. Cantonese farmers also have stables & pigsties.

#2 Utah Rocks! - Episode 1: Goblins and Jasper Geodes by @carlgnash

Goblin Valley is in the middle of the San Rafael Swell, a large area where older rocks from the Jurassic period were uplifted ~40-60 million years ago during the Pliocine. This uplifted area, or swell, raised the Entrada Sandstone up high enough to be revealed by erosion over the last 10 million years. If the uplift event that caused the San Rafael Swell had not occurred, we would not have this magical valley of goblins today.

#3 The Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin on the Nerl River by @amikphoto

Among the field is a small slim church. It is composed divinely. The proportions of this structure are perfect. Sometimes it is called as Russian Parthenon. The church was built at the beginning of the twelfth century. Even before the arrival of the Mongol tribes in Russia. The church has survived to this day thanks to a miracle. It was a construction away from the main points of concentration of the then life. It was white-stone and could not burn.
