Travel Digest

#1 Hercules Glades Wilderness Fire Tower, Mark Twain National Forest, USA

First, we join @xcountytravelers on his annual birthday trip. This year he heads to the Hercules Glades Wilderness Fire Tower within the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri, USA. The camping area is home to one of the many fire towers, some of which are rented out during the summers. It is easy to see why you'd want to sleep under the stars in a hammock looking at these gorgeous night photos.

#2 Corvo, Azores Islands, Portugal

Next, @roadtrips takes us to Corvo in the Azores archipelago, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. To get there, she undergoes a rough, 90-minute boat ride in a small dingy. With only two hours to explore the island, her first stop is the Caldeirão do Corvo—an impressive volcano crater. She then visits the island's only village, which is home to 300 people, before a much more pleasant boat ride back to Flores.

#3 New Horizon Building, Taipei, Taiwan

Finally, we head to Taipei, Taiwan with @catwomanteresa, who shows us around the Taipei New Horizon building located in the Songshan Cultural Park. This award-winning green building was designed by Toyo Ito, who also designed the National Taichung Theater. Notable features of the building include a roof-top greenspace, multiple creative spaces, a cultural square, and various works of art.

oh phew @chuuuckie I thought maybe I was the only one suspended 'cause yesterday I kept getting weird messages about "strange activity" from my ip address. I'm sharing an ip with like 8 other travelers right now so who knows what people are doing! lol
