Real Life Captured #45: Yellow Green Farmers Market in Hollywood Florida USA! Part One (15 photos)
Hey there my steemit friends. Today we're going to check out the Yellow Green Farmers Market in Ft Lauderdale Florida with Uncle Kenny! By the looks of things the entrepreneurial spirit is back in the good ole' USA. I've always been a big fan of anyone going out there trying to make it on their own.
One thing I couldn't help notice is that most of the people running these small business were immigrants. I found myself speaking a lot of Spanish which I enjoy doing. Having lived out of a backpack for the past 11 years traveling to mostly second and third world countries; I've learned that entrepreneurship is often the only way to lift oneself out of poverty. Being a small business owner comes natural to many immigrants who come to the United States and they are just doing what they do best and I love it!
Probably half to one third of the floor was young native born American citizens who were trying their hand at making great products and being their own boss. This too made me very proud. Being from Albany NY, I don't recall anyone being interested in entrepreneurial ship. It was all about go to school, get a job. Most ended up working at Walmart or waiting tables; mediocrity is an easy option for so many.
So walking through this field of young American and American immigrant entrepreneurs really made me proud and inspired me to adjust my own attitude toward my county as I witnessed a new healthy change in eating habits, cultural integration, as well as an aspiration toward making it on your own wit and merits. Something I proudly have done my entire adult life and am so pleased to see many fellow Americans trying to do the same! Now let's take a walk through the market and see what we can see!

Before now, the norm believe for a better life is to go to school and after graduation get a white collar job but this doesn't work out anymore with the high rate of unemployment in most of the countries of the world. A sure way out of this menace of unemployment is entrepreneur ship and it's actually work all around the world.

Great to see there are so many small business owners in the US following their passion! I wish we had more like that in Germany, there are many Turkish immigrants opening up kebap and pizza shops and there also is a lot of Chinese fast food, but other international food is quite hard to find in the medium-size cities..
Great comment to add to this article. I tend to believe as the traditional economies in the west begin to melt down, creative entrepreneurship will rise. Just look at steemit, coming out of nowhere. The days of everyone getting a career job out of college seem to be behind us, this too is stimulating entrepreneurship. Thanks for stopping by my friend! -Dan
I hope so! We have the chance to establish a machine economy to do all the nasty jobs that currently nobody wants but many have to do to make a living. Instead, everyone could follow their passion and we could have more creative jobs and more small businesses...
Unfortunately, the humans in power have no interest in releasing their slaves bound by money, so I am not sure if this will ever become a reality for a majority of the people :D
