5 Things to do in Aveiro!

Aveiro is a beautiful town in Portugal! It has a very romantic feel to it, probably because of the river flowing thru it with the colourful bridges and overall surroundings! It is not a big town but nice to make a stop for a few nights! So, if you ever go to Aveiro, wander thru the lovely, colourful streets and make sure to do these 5 things!

Have a look at the salt fields! Pretty cool and interesting sight! A fun way to get there is with the bike! This makes it a bit exciting because Portugal isn't really bicycle, friendly! You can rent them for free for 2 hours! So be in for a laugh but beware on the road.

Eat Tripas. In the rest of Portugal tripas is a dish made with guts. But in Aveiro, it is a doughy pancake! And I think, it's absolutely delicious! You can fill it with chocolate or jam or kinderbueno or whatever they may have! If you don't like the doughy pancake, you can have it crispy. But then it is not a real tripas :p!

Still in the food categories...While you grab a coffee have some ovos moles with it! Little sweet bites made with eatable paper. I think, the filling is made of sugar, egg yolk and cream and it's very tasty with the coffee!

Have a drink in the cool bar! It's a bit out of the centre but a fun bar to hang! Why is it so cool? Because the front of the bar is a bus!

Take the bus to Costa Nova, a near beach town with striped houses! Not so far but a nice trip to the seaside! Especially on a sunny day!
