Hi,
I am sleeping pretty good in this hostel ... Or I just really still need it xp but when I got out of bed I started figuring out what I wanted to do next.. looking things up... so research, research and some more research ... This I did while I was having my late breakfast /lunch. Then I had enough of the research with still no plans ... So I booked myself another night in the hostel! Got my swimming stuff and headed for the beach. Before getting on the bus, I went to a little express store to buy some water and a snack. As I snack I got some grapes and wanted to take a banana.
But they have normal bananas and something called a platano.... So I asked the man what is the difference? He found it hard to explain but he prefered the platano. I said to him today I will take the banana and tomorrow I will come back for a platano. After paying the man said you also take a platano with you so you can taste the difference :D so I said muchos gracias with a big smile!
So standing by the bus stop I asked this girl if she was also heading for the beach, and if she actually knew how to get there ... she was also a solo traveller, who did not know how to get there but spoke Spanish, which is pretty handy if you can xp so she asked the bus driver and I got on the bus with her. Jessica was from Chicago already travelling since February. We hung out at the beach together. Which was chill.
Then we had an ice cream before getting back on the bus towards the city centre. She got off before me, so there I sat on the bus not knowing where I am. A guy saw me looking and asked where I had to get off in his best English. I looked at him and said close to city centre and are you German or Dutch? He was Dutch, so we got off the bus together, had a chat about our holidays and he pointed me in the direction I had to go.
Back at the hostel, I got showered because the sand was everywhere :p and stayed inside to cool of. Because it can be pretty warm here xp had a chat with the girls in my room, checked my facebook, and some useless things like that xp
When Kamilla was back in the hostel we decided to go out for paella! So we looked in the little streets for a cosy looking place. And where the paella looked good! And we found this place called almudin... At first they did not have any tables left outside but we just had to wait 5 minutes. So we sat down in the street ordered a paella with seafood. She said it could take a while because they make it fresh! That’s what we wanted. But I was already very hungry and ordered some bread with tomato. For the wine, we asked the waiter what was the best choice ... She said the Moscatel... Which I know mostly as a sweet wine but she said this wasn't sweet! She we took her advise .. and it was absolutely lovely!
The paella took a while and when it was finally ready they actually made the wrong one ... It was the most expensive one on the menu... But we got it at the price of the one we ordered. There was not a big difference ... This was just al peeled and the fish without bones. It was a very nice paella. And ofcourse I could not help myself .. need to try the horchata dessert. Which was oké, glad I tried it... don’t think I will eat it again.
When we finished the dinner it was already 12 o’clock or even later .... So we went back to the hostel. And looked up things .. we tried to explain to each other. For example, she liked a kind of beer ... Which I could not make out what it was by the way she pronounced it... But she was talking about Hoegaarden xp then I laughed and told her it's a Belgium beer. So that was my day and totally ready for bed now.

I love the photographs. I would love to do the same.
thank you! I would say go for it! I advise everyone to travel solo for a long time in their lives. It is a great experience!
