Hola
After a good night sleep and lazy morning. I drove with Geert up to Calpe. He had to go there and check is sister’s house. So he dropped me off at the famous rock in Calpe. I walked all across the beach and the boulevard with shops. Which are so touristic! This city is literally built for tourists. And you can notice that because of the prices and products! But I don’t care it is an important side of Spain! The sea and sandy beaches are nice, especially with the view of the big rock hills in the background! I can understand why tourists come here to relax!
After the beach walk and a huge ice cream... I walked up to the old city centre! Which I think comes alive in the evening. But the little streets are lovely. Lots of colours and the houses have lovely mural paintings. Flags hanging across the little walking streets. There is a touristic route you can follow which will bring through every street you need to see.
I also walked up to a little church and from that point you had some fantastic views of Calpe ! I must say I did like that old city centre ! After some more wandering in actually not so great weather warm but with rain.... I went looking for a place to eat something little.
I ended up in a place called world of tapas. It actually is an all you can eat with tapas from all over the world. I liked the concept but just had four because I knew I would get some dinner at Regina and Geert :)
Did some more wandering but decided I saw what I needed or wanted to see in Calpe. And I phoned Geert because he offered to come and get me... Can’t stop saying how nice and kind these people are! They even waited to eat so we could eat all together! It really feels like a home ! I am super grateful!
