Traveling the World #38 (Asia Series) Sanctuary of Truth @ Pattaya, Thailand 🇹🇭- 向世界出發 #38 (亞洲系列) - 木雕之城 @ 芭堤雅 , 泰國 🇹🇭

Today we will be going to The Sanctuary of Truth at Pattaya in Thailand. I have been to Thailand many times but this particular place stood out to be slightly different to all the other places we visited in Thailand. The Sanctuary of Truth is a building made with all hand carved wood materials filled with sculptures based on traditional Buddhist and Hindu motifs. The project to build this Sanctuary was initiated by Thai businessman Lek Viriyaphant which started in 1981 and is scheduled to be completed in 2050.

今天我想跟大家介紹在泰國芭堤雅的木雕之城。我在泰國旅遊過很多次但這個地方對我來講是有最特別深刻印象的。木雕之城整座建築物全間都是用木頭雕塑造成的．他們的圖案是按照傳統佛教和印度教徒來建造的。 泰國富商Lek Viriyaphant在1981年開始斥資興建木雕之城而計劃在2050年完成。

We took a tour to visit the sanctuary which is highly recommended as the guide will explain everything to you plus take you to some advantage points for photos. When we arrived, we saw a building which seemed to be 15% completed. It was only the outside which looked finished but when you step inside, there was in fact a lot of work to be done.

我建議參加旅行團到聖殿因為導遊會慢慢介紹和講解歷史和故事．他們會告訴你那裡照片是最佳位置的．我們到目的地之後，在我面前的建築物好像是只有15%完成．在外邊看好像大部份聖典已經完成但走進裡面原來很多東西還未興建的。

Due to safety reasons, there were many parts of the building blocked off and we had to wear workers helmets when we tour inside and outside of the building. There were also some areas where it is set up designated for tourists and guides so they can see everything in the one area plus gives us a chance to sit and rest for awhile.

因為安全理由，有很多地方都不能給遊客參觀而且我們要帶上安全帽才可以在場地走動．裡面有指定位置給遊客和導遊看東西而且安排了一些地方給我們休息

As we were going through the building, you can see a lot of workers are hand carving each piece of wood. The weather was steaming hot, there were no air conditioning inside, but they all tried to best to finish each section of Sanctuary the best they could.

慢慢在裡面參觀之下，我們見到很多當地的員工用手盡快在木頭挑刻．外面的天氣十分炎熱而且裏面沒有空調，但每個工作人員盡量很快地完成他們的雕塑．

After a long tour inside, we were then taken outside to see the other side of the Sanctuary.

我們在裡面參觀了很久, 然後導遊帶我們到木雕之城的另外一面看看和拍照
