Eisriesenwelt, Werfen in Austria by MM Explore (largest ice cave in the world)
This is our video from visiting the cave, even though photography is forbidden I managed to catch few shots.
We had really great day with the weather, it was sunny and hot while we hiked, but as soon as we entered the cave, temperature dropped around 2 degrees Celsius.
Inside were around 700 steps so we got warm fast.
The Eisriesenwelt (German for "World of the Ice Giants") is a natural limestone and ice cave located in Werfen, Austria, about 40 km south of Salzburg. The cave is inside the Hochkogel mountain in the Tennengebirge section of the Alps. It is the largest ice cave in the world, extending more than 42 km and visited by about 200,000 tourists every year.
The views are amazing from up there.
Here is the view from the entrance. As it was forbidden to take pictures inside I have no pics at all, but you can chack it out in the video. And even if I took some pictures, they would turn out dark and it would be not show true beauty of the cave.
And few pictures on the way down...
...hope you enjoyed it..and till next time...

This looks like a great place to visit!! Thank you for showing us the view!!
You are very welcome.
Wow, what beautiful shots of the landscape - those are some dramatic mountains. Why couldn’t you take photos inside of the cave? Are there bats who would be disturbed? I was just caving in Montana and we had to do bat-checks in different caverns before we could use cameras...
I don't know why we can't take pictures but there are no bats inside as the cave is around 2 degrees Celsius.
If you want to check inside have a look at the video.
Great photos @psyceratopsb. Glad you did not get caught taking the video.

It looks like you got some great video inside the caves. Good thing only photography was forbidden. ;-)
It was great to see your pictures. I got to visit the Eisreisenwelt this last summer (on my birthday) and it was super cool. If you are interested, here's a link to the blog post I wrote about the same place. Feel free to ask me to remove the link if you'd rather not have it in your comments. I thought it was pretty neat to be able to see your experience regarding the same place.
No man,leave it ofc
I really love the view from there. It looks so breathtaking! Hope you enjoyed your hike! THanks for sharing this with us and Have a great day!
Sure I did..it was splendid
Wow! Just amazing to see that cave and the thought that people thought of exploring it! It's so high above the village!!!!! I do have a question though. Were there any people suffering altitude sickness? It seems like it would be a ways up there.
Ren
nah..It is on 1500m from the village..not that high
Oh, wow. It looks so much higher.
