Travel Diary : Jeju Island 2018, Day 1 (Photo Blog of Hotel RegentMarine & Strolling around Ildoi-Dong) Part 3
Introduction
Read my old post of "Partially Solo Trip" post here to get s sneak peek of what I did in Jeju Island! This post below will be a photo blog where I could give you guidance on the place you could visit. I've separated into parts in order to make it easier to be read! The total cost of this trip is MYR3000 inclusive of two-way direct flight, transportation, accommodation, all entry fees and food.

Hotel RegentMarine is only 10 minutes drive from the International Airport. I would say the location of the hotel is good because you can visit so many places from here! Restaurants, Black Pork Street, Fashion Street, Underground Mall, Dongmun Market and a Funfair! Besides, the facility and the service is good. The receptionists are very polite too as they are willing to help me to get a taxi and head to Jeju City during midnight.

I've checked the hotel price in Google, the price was about 350MYR per night. Perhaps you can order it with AirasiaGo Package (flight + accommodation) or head to cheaper motels around here. I've seen there are many Motels available near the Black pork street!
Around the Streets
25 Gwandeong-ro 15(sibo)-gil, Geonip-dong, Cheju, Jeju-do, South Korea
Black Pork Street, Fashion Street, cafes and all these beautiful flowers along the way. I wonder how precious they are to be in this condition. But these busy streets will be quiet instantly when it's 10 pm night. I wonder where do the youngster would go for their night life.

Remember to bring your own bag-pack because all convenience stores will never provide you with a paper bag or a plastic bag with proper handle! I bought few bottles of Soju and I had to hug them back to my room! So inconvenient, I've learnt my lesson!
Second, there may be a lot of "Food waste" Trash Bin but not "General" Trash Bins around. Please be mindful to throw your trash accordingly. Do not throw your coffee cups into the Food Waste bins. There will be trash bins at the convenience stores, but you have to take note with the materials of your trash. For example, the coffee cup and the coffee lids must be separated and throw according to it's material. Just bring your Recycle knowledge along! Or you can seek help from the locals.

Jungang Underground Shopping Center
1425-3 Ildoil-dong, Cheju, Jeju-do, South Korea
Jungang Underground Shopping Center isn't a must go places, I don't find it amusing because I've seen bigger ones in Taipei and I was lost inside. So comparing this to my previous experiences, I would say not to put too much excitement here. The only reason I like this underground shopping centre is that it connects to many places that you could visit! Refer to the Underground Shopping Center Map if you think you will get lost easily.

Dongmun Market - Street Food
1103 Ildo 1(il)-dong, Cheju, Jeju-do, South Korea
If you like to hunt for a late night supper snack, this is the place where you can be a tuna and join the crowd for food! It was a Saturday night, therefore it'll be the best excuse to sleep late! It is located beside the Dongmun Fish Market! They will not hike up tourists prices because the number of locals is more than travellers. Remember to not throw your trash on the floor!

This is the place where you can walk around to search for edible souvenirs (chocolates) to bring back home. The prices are cheaper than the tourist spots! Be wise to calculate before purchasing anything in tourists places. The market is the best place to get cheap stuff. We bought 15 boxes of chocolate (10 pieces per box) for 10,000 won, and I've seen the same chocolate is sold for 10,000won per box! This is insane profit.
We bought Strawberries too! A packet that has about 20 pieces of strawberries for 5,000won is something I don't mind spending with my eyes closed. Stay healthy, buy cheap fruits!
Dongmun Market - Fish Market
1103 Ildo 1(il)-dong, Cheju, Jeju-do, South Korea
One of the cleanest Fish Market I've been! They were already cleaning up on 9 pm night! Of course, Sashimis are still available for you to eat it on the spot as there are chairs for you to sit and relax. Jeju is an island, therefore, the sashimis are fresh for you to get them, even it is already night time.
Bugseong-Gyo - A short story about Volcano and Children?
Ildoil-dong, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, South Korea
I have no idea what am I watching because the projector was projecting all the visuals onto the rocks. But I think I saw Volcano Monsters and Children were in the visuals. The awesome part is when the Volcano Monster got angry, there'll be real fire coming out! Woohoo!
Jeju Mokgwana
30-1 Samdo 2(i)-dong, Cheju, Jeju-do, South Korea
We were passing by to this place and we saw there's a big screen projector is screening a Live Rap performance. It was legit, the main gates were open and we got in, assuming that it's free to watch. The performance was good of course, just that we don't know who and what is the rapper rapping on stage. It was a fun open concert for us! I think we consider ourselves lucky to be able to watch a concert by random. We went back again on the second day but nay for us, it was closed.

Entrance fee is 1,500 won for adults during 9 am - 6 pm!

Secondly, the trip organizer Glam Suitcase Travel for allowing enough time for us to rest on the first day after the Jet Lag! More time to rest means more time to explore the area! I still want to boast about the free concert that we went!

Oh my! beautiful photos! The fashion street is the bomb! Love it! I also like how they manage their trash, it's a sign of good discipline to me. It could be inconvenient for some but it's definitely for the better. 😊❤
