Relaxing Vacation In LUX* South Ari Atoll Maldives
2018 has been an awesome year for me so far... Why? Because I had visited one of my dream destinations - The Maldives. Okay, this is not my first trip to the Maldives, I visited Meeru Island a few years back and had since been dying to revisit the Maldives again for a relaxing vacation. This time around, I am visiting this island resort called LUX*. I heard from a few of my friends that their island resort experience are not bad and that the price is pretty affordable as well!
I have signed up for a 5D4N package which allows me to stay in 2 beach pavilion and 2 water villa with AI (all-inclusive meal plan). The total cost is around 2K USD per pax.
When we arrived at Maldives airport, we were brought to the LUX* resort lounge where we waited patiently for our seaplane to be ready. This is my first time boarding a seaplane!!
What could be more enjoyable dipping a free fresh fruit juice on an extremely hot day?
Our seaplane flight took just around 45 minutes. To be frank, I am not a fan of seaplanes! The engine is so noisy and rocky. It's a bit scary too.
Well, LUX* is amazingly beautiful with tiffany blue waters, blue-white sky etc. I am so glad that I made this trip. This totally feels like a dream come true to me. Please let me bring you to a "tour" around LUX* island through some of my photos!
The wind is quite strong at this side of the Island - I am so afraid that my hat will fly off when I took this shot.
Yes! Look at these sea creatures just swimming around the shores of the island. Sharks & stingrays!!!
It is super relaxing to jump into the waters and do some snorkeling just after a big hearty breakfast!

And yes, not to forget that I went sea fishing too! I am so happy I got my first catch, though it is a pretty small little fish. #LOL
There is a 2 storey library called "Wanderlust" located on the island too. Great place to chill out, enjoy the scenery, and relax.
Not to mention, you can go for a full body massage session too. My 60 mins spa session comes included in my package. :)
Food is amazing on the island too. You can find quite a number of different restaurants located around. Italian, Chinese, Indian, Western, Japanese...
There are an ice cream shop and cafe too! Yes, you can grab any coffee, ice cream or popsicles as and when you want.
