Voller Vorfreude und gutem Wetter startete Tag zwei im Amboseli NationalPark. Unser Safariguide Niclas kam zu mir und meinte, dass heute ein guter Tag sei und wir viele Tiere sehen würden. Er sollte sich nicht täuschen. Gleich zu Beginn trafen wir auf das Lieblingstier meiner Kindheit. Ich erinnere mich heute noch, was es für ein rabenschwarzer Tag gewesen ist, als Ich mein Lieblingskuscheltier verlor. (Ein Nilpferd namens Nipie) Niclas erzählte uns, dass das Nilpferd statistisch für die meisten Tode von Menschen verantwortlich sei. Wenn sie sich bedroht fühlen, kennen sie nur eine Richtung - Angriff! Mit großen Sicherheitsabstand ließen wir das Nilpferd die Straße überqueren.

Full of anticipation a sunny second day started in the Amboseli National Park.
Our safari guide Niclas came to me and said that today would be a good day and we would see many animals.
He should be right. Right at the beginning we met the favorite animal of my childhood. I still remember what a horrible day it was when I lost my favorite stuffed animal. (A hippopotamus called Nipie)
Niclas told us that the hippopotamus is statistically responsible for most people's deaths. When they feel threatened, they know only one direction - attack! With safety distance we let the hippopotamus cross the street.

Simba

Die SafariGuides sind mit WalkieTalkies untereinander verbunden und geben sich gegenseitig Meldung, wenn sie etwas besonderes sehen. Niclas sagte begeistert zu uns: ,,Gleich hier um die Ecke sind Löwenbabys mit ihrem Vater!'', er fuhr etwas zügiger, aber trotzdem sehr bedacht, um die Tiere welche in der Natur beheimatet sind nicht zu erschrecken.
Zwar habe ich Löwen schon im Tsavo Ost Park gesehen, allerdings war es wieder ein absolutes Highlight.
Es war faszinierend zu sehen wie verspielt, frech und niedlich diese kleinen Simbas sind. Mufasa sonnte sich in der Sonne und beobachtete die Kleinen, wie sie tobten. ''Simba'' bedeutet auf Kishwahili ''Löwe'' und ''Mufasa'' bedeutet ''König''. Ein wunderbarer Moment

Simba

The SafariGuides are connected to each other with walkie talkies and give each other a message, when they see a rare animal. Niclas said enthusiastically to us: „There are lion cups with their dad. Just around the corner!“, He drove a little faster, but still very thoughtful, so the animals who are living here won’t be scared.
I have seen lions already in Tsavo East Park, but it was again an absolute highlight.
It was fascinating to see how playful, cheeky and cute these little Simbas are. Mufasa basked in the sun and watched the little ones playing with each other. 'Simba' means' Kishwahili '' lion '' and '' Mufasa '' means' 'king' '. A wonderful moment.

Zeit für Volleyball

Natürlich sahen wir auch viele andere Tiere, da ich aber versuche so wenig Tiere wie möglich zu wiederholen, schaut doch einfach beim ersten Part1 vorbei.
Auf dem Weg aus dem Park fuhren wir an einem kleinen Dorf vorbei, wo Einheimische mitten im NationalPark Volleyball spielten.

Of course, we saw many other animals, but I try to repeat as few animals as possible. Just have a look at the first part.
On the way out of the park we drove through a small village where locals played volleyball in the middle of the National Park.

Aufwiedersehen Amboseli

Der zweite und letzte Tag im AmboseliPark neigte sich dem Ende zu und wir machten uns auf den Weg zum Aberdare Nationalpark. Im Aberdare Nationalpark residierte damals schon die Queen. In einem Baumhaus, welches heutzutage zum Hotel umfunktioniert ist. Seid gespannt..

Goodbye Amboseli

The second and last day at AmboseliPark came to an end and we hit the road in the direction towards Aberdare National Park. In 1952 even the queen made holidays in a treehouse, which is now called Treetops Hotel.
