The @mitneb Curation Trail Project Daily Report - Mystery Trip Vacation Edition, Day 2
I'll be curating as usual, but the @mitneb Curation Trail Project Daily Reports will be put on hold while I am on a mystery trip with two of my sisters.
Mystery Trip Vacation???
"What is a mystery trip vacation?" you ask.
It's when someone takes you on a trip, but doesn't tell you where you are going. That's what has happened to me!
My sisters planned an all expenses paid vacation for me. How nice is that!
Day 2 Adventures
We snorkled in two different places today. This was my first time trying this, and it was pretty scarey at first. I don't have any underwater fish pictures because the camera malfunctioned.
One really cool thing that happened was getting to swim about 10 feet away from two different green sea turtles.
This is the second snorkeling site we were at.
Lunch - the fruit and nuts we brought at the farmer's market yesterday.
Some animals we saw in a pen.
A bakery stop for a snack.
Heading around the island towards the town of Hilo.

Dinner was a Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet at the hotel.
What will we do tomorrow? It's a mystery!

I love following along on this adventure with you guys!! I can't wait to see what the next day brings!! That prime rib buffet looks delicious (and so does the dessert). We have those red poky fruits here - they're called mamonchinos here. Taste good but they are hard to get off of the seed. It looks like you're having a great time. I'm excited that you are having a fun time!! Thanks for taking the time to share the adventure.
Ah Hilo. Where I started my coffee addiction. I'll never forget you. Actually Kona not Hilo. The big island was nice and not so crowded if I remember correctly. Sounds like fun! You think about getting an underwater disposable camera for the snorkeling?
Amazing!!! Just so so amazing is what I keep saying to myself. The vacation has indeed been a great one, from the Lava beach, evidence of some past volcanic eruption. The Pictures of the hotel are so amazing, such a wonderful work of engineering and you did a really great job taking them from that view.
I've never seen a sea turtle, so I'll be waiting patiently for the day I get to snorkeling.
Your trip have been amazing, and I can't really guess what day 2 will be, so I'll let it be a mystery ready to unravel.
Not forgetting the cuisines, now I'm hungry and really need to have those delicacies.
