Mikołajki - the Great Masurian Lakes - Europe trip - Poland [part 4]
A wonderful sunny day has allowed us to visit the city of Mikołajki which is a typical tourist place, also called the "sailing capital of Poland" because of its location on the Great Lakes Trail (exactly between Lake Mikołajskie and Tałta)..
St. Nicholas' location is very close to the Masurian Landscape Park (55 thousand ha), with a variety of flora and fauna, forests (29 thousand ha), peat bogs, lakes and rivers. Within its area there are over 60 lakes (including the popular Śniardwy), Krutyń river (known in Europe as one of the most interesting canoe trails), over 200 species of birds and 11 nature reserves.
Here is the lady who sold us a ticket for a parking place :) She was very nice
