Planning my trip to Philippines, any suggestions?
Hello fellow steemians,
I have just started planning my upcoming trip to Philippines which I am leaving for in about 2 to 3 weeks time and will be staying 3 1/2 weeks or so. I am seeing a friend of mine and will be staying mainly in Manila from which I would like to go to a nice island for few days.
I would appreciate your suggestions of must go and see places and things to do while there. The power of Steemit! Let's share some knowledge:).... Have a great night and thank you for your help.

As Prague and Chesky Krumlov are some of my favorite cities un Europe..let me try:
Boracay/Coron for the beach(if u want peace, go to Coron), Bohol for its' chocolate hills in the Visaya region. If u wanna swim with sharks, go to Cebu.
Mindanao will be Davao and check out our President Duterte's city. See how awesome his city is, how disciplined are the davaoeños!

Don't put all of ur money in ur wallet incase for some pickpockets. Filipinos smile a lot, with or without dentures.

I am new here but they say Ilonggos are sweet and very hospitable Iloilo has a lot of tourist destinations, we heritage churches a lot of resorts which are affordable. I also have a cousin who owns THE BORACAY TERRACES and I also have some in Palawan. But Iloilo and Negros have beautiful places too. Try to visit the Visayas! In Jan we have the Ati-atihan festival and the Dinagyang 2 famous fstivals with a lot of street dancing and more.

you are welcome most tourist goes to the Luzon area but we also have beautiful places in the visays and more relaxed and unique also the food is great!
Hi! You may visit Cebu Island! There's a bunch of natural tourist attractions in Cebu and water activities, hiking, mt.climbing, waterfalls and alike. Ands if you like a bit of cold climate you may wanna visit Baguio City. It's a well-developed mountain province there are also a lot of things to do there.

Oh where do I start?! Philippines has so much to offer! If youre after the sun, the sand, and the beach, there's Boracay with its colorful nightlife. Palawan is the place to go if you want breath-taking views of nature. Cebu beaches are absolutely a must-visit too.
If you're in the mood for Filipino History, Intramuros is right in the heart of Manila. There's also Vigan in Ilocos Sur with its century-old houses.
Up for a hike? You can take a trip up North to Sagada where indigenious culture is bursting to the seams.

Have a safe travel! If you are staying mainly in Manila,there are lots of Historical places such as Intramuros, fort Santiago, rizal park,etc. There are also museums in Manila like National museum of the Philippines, Ayala museum, Mind museum,etc. if you want to go shopping, go to our Mall of Asia. I think it's the third largest mall in Asia.visit also bonifacio global city. I heard the place was nice although I haven't personally see it. If you want to see beaches, you have to go outside of Manila. You can go to Northern Luzon to see some more beautiful sceneries like Baguio city, Banaue Rice terraces and some beaches. If you want to go further he next island after Luzon is Visayas. Take extra care while you're traveling. We are very accommodating but careful with people who take advantage. It's like in every country, there are different kinds of people.

Welcoming you in advance here in the Philippines. Palawan is a paradise if you want beaches. Our province Pangasinan can also be an option. We have Hundred Islands and Bolinao. Ilocos Norte is also a gem. If you want adventure, try Sagada and Baguio.

There are a loooot of beautiful islands here in the Philippines. My suggestion would be Cebu-Bohol. Panglao Bohol is a long stretch of a beautiful beach. Cebu also has Sumilon Island and plenty of diving spots in Moalboal. But you need to ride a plane to be able to go here especially if you're coming from Manila. Puerto Galera is beautiful as well, you can go here instead if you wanted to go somewhere near Manila. 😊

I suggest you come to Cebu!!! There are a lot of places to visit and activities to do. ^^ You may also visit Bohol (another wonderful island in Central Philippines) from Cebu by ferry! <3 <3 <3

I am from Northern Philippines and my town is a tourist spot. If you're looking for a place to unwind, come visit San Juan, La Union. It's the surfing capital of the North and it's clean and not crowded. People and food are definitely a high five. See ya!
