Cows in the Andes, Ecuador. Hiking to the El Altar crater lake was one of the most challenging hikes that I have done, but I was rewarded with beautiful views over the Andean landscape. These cows seemed to like the views as well!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #48 - winner announcement!

@itchyfeetdonica Asian Sunday entry:

As a national symbol of Cambodia, Angkor Wat is the country’s prime attraction that draws a large number of visitors all year round. It's even printed on the national flag. Despite the crowds, watching sunrise over the towers is an unforgettable experience for me. Enjoy this beautiful scene right after the sunrise!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #48 - winner announcement!

@vcclothing Australian Monday entry:

This was the amazing view I got to wake up to every morning while I was staying in a air bnb in Windwhistle New Zealand. The name was fitting as this place is super windy and the wind whistles through the trees. It is also very cold.

The moody skies of the Antarctic Peninsula are such a beautiful sight. Although overcast a lot of the time there is still so much to appreciate and the terrain is such a magnificent sight.

Death Valley National Park, California. This is the hottest and driest national park in America. It is also the largest national park in the lower 48 States. If you want to see out of this world landscapes, then Death Valley is a must. The beauty it offers is very unique. Here is a view from the Golden Canyon hike trail, one of the many locations where Star Wars was filmed.

Rio de Janeiro is one of the largest cities in South America. If you want to escape the traffic or just get a better view of the mountains, you could always take a helicopter ride. Or do what I did, just come up to the helipad to get a spectacular view without going in the helicopter!

Helicopter ride would be awesome but you worked it out pretty well too:)

Tatacoa Desert, Colombia

The Tatacoa Desert in Southern Colombia is an impressive destination. Hundreds of uniquely shaped hills were formed in the dirt by wind and weather. It was here where I had my first experience riding a horse and it had no mercy but started galloping through the dry landscape leaving me desperately holding onto it almost unable to enjoy the surroundings!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

That looks just awesome!

Frozen Lagoon in the High Andes - South America

Screen Shot 2018-08-25 at 9.41.32 am.png

When most people think the Andes they think Alpacas and Inca ruins. However this high cold mountain range is sometimes just raw beauty, frozen lagoons, snow covered rainbow coloured mountains. Get above 3,000 m and everything is more interesting. Enjoy.

Original photo that is also posted on my blog.

Great entry, thank you so much. Enjoy your Sunday. Tomas

Thank you! Have a great week!

Nature are pure no doubt, its look lovely

Thanks @hcc! A truly beautiful place and glad you like it!

CABO NEGRO (Margarita Island)

Cabo Negro is exactly the northern tip of Isla de Margarita; to get there you have to walk the mountain about 30 minutes, from another beach called Puerto Real. It is not a demanding journey, you just have to be careful with the abundant cacti that are also beautiful. Photographs from this part of the mountain are the favorites of visitors.

Love how green the rocks are, pretty unusual sight that is.

This beautiful sunset was in the sector of Taguantar located a few meters from Juangriego on the island of Margarita. It is a whole coastal line where you can observe beautiful sunsets apart from enjoying a nice fishing, its waters are very cold and you can find fishermen's houses on the shore of the beach.

That sunset is pretty equisite. Love the color of the sky.

The Sierra La Culata is the name given to one of the two mountain ranges in which the Andean mountain range is divided as it passes through the central part of the Andean zone of Venezuela between the Merida and Trujillo states. It is protected by the Sierra de La Culata National Park, which covers it almost entirely. The mountain range shelters some of the highest peaks of the country, among them the Pan de Azúcar Peak, the Tucani and the Morrón, the Capaz, Tucaní, Torondoy, Pocó, Las Gonzales, Albarregas and Mucujun Rivers, which supply water. to almost 800 thousand people who inhabit the towns that are around the Park: Jaji, La Azulita, Tucani, La Mesa, Timotes, Sto. Domingo, Apartaderos, Mucuchies, Tabay, Ejido, Lagunillas and the City of Mérida.

Thank you so much for your wonderful entry. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on and enjoy your Sunday. Tomas

FISHING THE SUNSET

Pescando Solitario con el atardecer.jpg

Fishing is one of the best experiences that lovers of fish and nature can experience, in the Orinoco River there is a great variety of fish from piranhas to big fish. This fisherman delights and enjoys that moment with sunset and solitude, in the port of Caicara del Orinoco Bolivar Venezuela

What a beautiful colors and great entry.

This Wooden Cross marks the death place of an old priest. It is in the neighborhood of Rio Tavares in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina - Brazil, in Joaquina Beach. It is one of the favorite spots for surfing in the region. On this day this strange phenomenon was happening in the sky; a rainbow around the sun.
IMG_7806.JPG

Wow, I have never seen anything like that - a rainbow that is upside down.

Mount Fitz Roy, El Chaltén - Argentina
Looking from this angle, the imponent Fitz Roy seems reachable. The most adventurous person may even attempt. However, the Paso Superior may hide dangerous crevasses to protect the old Fitz from climbers.

My photograph is from a viewpoint in "Caripe", also known as "Caripe El Guácharo", a town in Monagas, Venezuela. This town is the main tourist center of the Monagas state, it is also called "The Garden of the East". Its fame is due to its climate and its vegetation.

Wow, that looks like it is on the top of the world. Well done!
