A fish farm in Aceh Indonesia. I took this picture at sunset yesterday. For the people of Indonesia, this fish pond is to help the family economy. If you visit Aceh, you will get a lot of these fishponds.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #61 - winner announcement!

@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

Night walk around the Darling Harbour, while Sydney city sleeps it is good to walk around the place. Enjoying the calm of the night to rediscover the place shining under bright new light is very peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely recommend spending some time there to anyone.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #61 – winner announcement!

@liltammy Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

This apocalyptic photo was taken on my favourite beach in Mexico - the Xpuha Beach aka heaven on Earth. It is a remote and beautiful beach with deep white powder sand, crystalline waters with rich marine life. Still relatively unknown, it is a tranquil beach with few people.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #61 - winner announcement!

@jpphotography African Wednesday entry:

Sahara Sand Dune Sunset. Walking up this steep dune was pretty exhausting, but at the top I had left all other tourists behind. Watching the sun setting over the Sahara from this spot was one of the highlights of my trip to Morocco earlier this year.

One of many picturesque old squares in Rome with the St. Peter's Basilica in the background. The St. Peter's Basilica is a monumental Italian Renaissance church in Vatican City, the papal enclave within the city of Rome. One of the most iconic landmarks of the city, it is the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture and the largest church by area in the world.

I think this is one of the busiest places I have ever been to. It looks like you were quite lucky as it seems pretty empty.

Lake Alpsee, Bavaria, Germany
Lake Alpsee is located near two beautiful castles in Bavaria - Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. We arrived at Neuscchwanstein and decided to take a hike around the lake. It was fabulous. I walked down to the water. Water is crystal clear and a beautiful blue. You can also take very pleasant walk around the lake and visit these two castles. This area in Germany is simply amazing.

What a wonderful scenery!

Cityscape of Split, Croatia

Split is a beautiful city on the Mediterranean Sea in Croatia. Split is very popular with tourists and the city centre can get quite crowded, but the ancient Roman ruins integrated into the medieval city are worth diving into the crowds! What later became a Medieval city was a palace in Roman times, the palace walls became the city walls.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Love that place, thank you so much for sharing.

Preikestolen
This famous rock formation in Norway is a popular destination for hikers. The total hike is about 8 km and on the plateau you will have a great view 600 meters down the fjord.

That is an amazing place! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.

One of the small but beautiful cities of Portugal, Coimbra. We enjoyed watching the sunset in such a beautiful place. The ambience that the lights of the sunset and the sky reflect on the river was great.

Finally I think I've got a picture which is good enough for your contest. I've posted it already in one of my own posts. It's the picture from the waterfall Peričnik in Slovenia. This is a waterfall with a halfway basin and you can climb to the upper part of the fall. This part is a 20m drop approx, I think 🤔, the second part is around 50m. Let's enjoy for the last days till the winter kicks in those beautiful colors autumn gives to us.

Fabulous to see you participating with this amazing image. Love it!

The Golden Eye

Stunningly golden sunset at the coast of Baltic Sea, nearby Klaipeda, Lithuania. Wonderful summer time. And luckily the sun finally get out a bit from the clouds on almost dawning and with some nice visible rays.
Far away you can see the boat with fishermen and very far there is a vessel coming to the gates to port

Enjoy the scenery!

That sure is a stunning image. Great job

One more entry from Greece this week. Halki is part of the Dodecanese group of islands and the smallest inhabited one. It is an amazingly picturesque, peaceful and relaxing place where I found myself shooting to every direction!
The shot is from the medieval castle on the top of the island, overlooking the Aegean sea!

Thank you so much for this wonderful entry!

Snowdonia

The image shows the view we witnessed when we finally reached the top of the mountain. The path was challenging and quite steep at times, the sun was roasting and seeing the view like this at the end was a well-deserved bonus! Later we have realised there was a train coming up the mountain and part of the railway track is visible in the foreground.

Stunning views. Thank you so much for that.

Hi all! This is a picture I took at Oia, a small white-washed village in Santorini, Greece. It's a sunny, windy place, that's why the locals built so many windmills there, to harvest the energy of wind.

Thank you so much for your participation. Love Santorini!

you are most welcome!
