Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winner of Asian Sunday and give him your support if you like his image to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for him by upvoting his winner announcement post below:

@funtraveller Asian Sunday entry:

Hello @czechglobalhosts! This is the view of Marina Bay area in Singapore, a photo that I took while there's an incoming storm / heavy rain along my way. It's an uncommon scene and this serves as my entry to the Asian Sunday photo challenge.

Waya Island is part of the Yasawa island group located in Fiji. One thing I noticed straight away, was that Fijians are one of the nicest, most friendly people I have ever met.

Thank you so much for this fabulous image!

Sydney Harbour in the evening always looked stunning. While most pics might be focused on the famous opera house, the harbour bridge also looks quite magnificent after dark. This picture was taken on the north shore of the Sydney Harbour, near Luna Park and almost at the bottom of the bridge. The skyline of Circular Quay can be seen on the other side of the harbour, and you can also see the light beams coming from the opera house, as it was illuminated during the Sydney Vivid Festival.

Yep, that sure is a stunning shot!

View down into Grose Valley in the Blue Mountains of Australia. It was a wonderful calm morning with the fog still drifting through the canyon below the viewpoint. For one of the most popular viewpoints in the area, I was surprised to be the only one there for sunrise.

Thank you so much for your fabulous submission! It looks so peaceful!

Strange rocks formation in the middle of the Australian outback. This natural structure looks like a giangantic red coloured shell poing out of the ground where there isn't any water! Sometimes Nature does strange things.

Location: Murphy's Haystacks, Australia.

Yep, just a pure natural beauty! Thank you for that. Tomas

For a moment I thought that you bought my photo from Shutterstock for your featured photo today :D But then I realised I haven't uploaded it to Shutterstock yet, so I now submit it time-exclusively to your contest.

The lookout at Echo Point offers the most famous and most scenic view over the Blue Mountains. For years, this mountain rage has been a natural barrier keeping the European settlers in Sydney region from exploring other parts of New South Wales.

LOL - that would be cool to actually have your pic from Shutterstock:).... But I think Steemit works better for all of us now:)...

Thank you so much for your wonderful entry!

This limestone wall is part of the 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Road of Australia. It looks like it's on fire because it is being illuminated from the sunset. Sometimes the best part of sunset is looking in opposite direction. This place is so colossal, it is difficult to understand its size and feel by looking at pictures.

What a wonderful entry once again! Thank you so much! Tomas

The Russel falls, Mt Field National Park. The most prettiest waterfall of Tasmania.
Just a 20 minute return walk to the falls. A nice boardwalk through the lovely rainforest. Australia is so beautiful.

Great entry! Thank you for sharing with all of us here. Tomas

Taken three years ago while I was travelling the east coast of Australia. I made a short stopover in Gold Coast. The photo shows the view from the Q1 building’s SkyPoint observation deck over the Surfers Paradise resort. Pays out to go there in the evening as well 😉!

Thank you so much for your participation and your entry. Have a great day. Tomas

KiamaLighthouseSteemit.png

This is Kiama lighthouse on the NSW, Southcoast, taken during a violent thunderstorm at the start of this years storm season.
My partner and i had originally walked out to the tip of the headland to photograph the storm coming in from the West but the storm was moving so quickly that by the time we had setup, bolts of lightning were exploding all around us prompting us to head for cover. Just before making it back to the car the wind and rain hit luckily my camera gear stayed dry!.... I didn't ;)

Great to get your entry after a while. Your shot is truly magnificent!

Thanks once again. Love your competition. So many great photos!
