@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:

The Marina Bay Sands Hotel is one of Singapores landmarks. Unfortunately it's allowed only for hotel guests to relax at the infinity pool on the top. Nevertheless it's possible for everyone to buy a ticket for the "Skypark" that is located right next to the pool. So you can enjoy the same breathtaking view of Singapores skyline from there!

Dinosauer Eggs at Moeraki beach.. Or mayby just uniquely formed rocks?? In any case it's a extraordinary location with all those round boulders littering the sand. The morning I visited I was even lucky with the light and got those beautiful pastle colors.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #32 – winner announcement!

@softa Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

The island of Tenerife is a great place to shoot seascape photography because it lies in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. So the only thing that can block your pictures are just clouds. That's one of the reasons why I come back every year, and every time I bring pictures like this one.

This is Africa Unity Square in the city center of Harare. I took this photo during my visit to Zimbabwe last October. There are tons of businesses in this part of the city, including the hotel where I stayed directly across from the park. This square was built in 1890 and has been a cornerstone and popular meeting place in Harare ever since. I loved walking around here and seeing locals going about their morning activities.

When I stumbled about these baskets in a souk (market) in Marrakech, I was curious about the purpose of the colourful fillings. The shop owner was very honest with me: They are just for decoration to attract tourists and to make them visit the spice store inside! The baskets made a great photo motive though.

No matter where in the world, it's all about marketing:)

Haha that's so true! Especially for the vendors in Marrakech that sell exactly the same as their neighbours..

Penguins-at-Simon's-Town3.jpg
Going to Africa everyone is excited to see the Big 5. But there are much more animals to see, for example these little guys. In Simon’s Town, a suburb of Cape Town, you can see a lot of penguins on a white beach.

So cute, they are going in all different directions :)

Right, seems that they need a leader whos telling them what to do ;)

Cute little fellas:)

Caravan leader and camels trotting through the desert dunes in Morocco. There is an immense silence and peacefulness in this part of Africa. Days are hot and nights are freezing. Water is scarce and so precious. These beautiful and intelligent animals remind us of the ability on Earth to adapt and survive despite the challenges and harsh conditions.

Yep, that place is something else, very harsh indeed. Thank you for sharing your entry. Tomas

A friend and I explored a peak call Middelbergpiek (aka Middle Mountain Peak) this last long weekend in the Cederberg mountains in South Africa. We went out early morning and made our own trail up the mountain... the scenery turned out to be fairly epic! ;)

Hmm, that is a breath-taking view! Splendid.

The elephant, famous for his tusk. Every 15 minutes, an elephant in Africa is killed by poachers for their ivory tusks. That is nearly 100 a day, slaughted at the hand by poachers, who sell the ivory on the illegal wildlife market.
It is a shame, stop the killing

Really this many? I had no idea... that is a crazy number....

The Town of Sidi Bou Said is located in north of Tunis, tha Capital of Tunisia. The Entire town is located on top of a steep cliff, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The view is absolutely phenomenal, the entire town is simply beautiful, with flowers draped almost every wall and doorway.

Thank you so much for your contribution.

Today I am sharing portrait photo 😁
It is a cute, gorgeous and dangerous hippopotamus. Photo is from my trip in South African Republic from almost two years ago. We were at St. Lucia and did river cruise at iSimangaliso Wetland Park were we saw many hippos that evening but this photo is my favourite among them.

Yep, I wouldn't like to run into this fella:)....

It would already be too late if we would play hide and seek with him and find him like that :)

Looking into the archive now, understand that this shot was done early morning through the window of the moving bus on the way from Hurghada to Luxor, the first day of our trip round the Egypt (including cruise over the Nile)
Normally I pretty hate such kind of photography, since very hard to avoid shaking and normally bus windows are not really clean and have reflecting effects or darkening tapes.
Anyway, sunrise was pretty nice and worth to try something. Guess result is not really so bad anyway

Enjoy the scenery :)

Yep, the shot turns out to be pretty amazing. Great job.

A colorful Sunset in Madagascar mesmerizes us with the artistic richness of a impressionist painting. The water picks them up, to remix them into a powerful symphony of shapes and hues that surround us on all sides. Marvelous!

I love the reflection in the water. Great entry.
